Lenovo Professional Wireless Combo Keyboard & Mouse
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Lenovo Professional Wireless Combo Keyboard & Mouse (4X30H56796) - Local Warranty
Twenty-Four Months of Battery Life, and a Dongle You Can Replace
The Lenovo Professional Wireless Combo publishes up to 24 months of battery life on both the keyboard and the mouse, and — unusually — Lenovo states that dongle replacement is available. On a fleet deployment that second point is worth real money: a lost nano receiver does not turn the combo into scrap.
A Laser Mouse at 1600 DPI With Four-Way Scrolling
The mouse uses an invisible laser sensor at 1600 DPI with four-way scrolling and three buttons rated for up to 3 million clicks. Four-way scrolling — sideways as well as up and down — is genuinely useful in wide spreadsheets and timelines, and nothing else in this range has it.
A Full-Size Spill-Resistant Keyboard on Two AA Cells
A full-size three-zone keyboard with a numeric keypad, membrane switches under low-profile island keys, spill resistant and rated for up to 3 million clicks, running on two AA cells for up to 24 months. The mouse takes one or two AA cells for the same life.
Please Read: Withdrawn From Lenovo's Main Catalogue
Lenovo's US product page for this part number now redirects and the SKU has moved to Lenovo's parts store, though it remains listed across Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. Lenovo has published no end-of-life notice and names no successor. Ask us about supply before standardising a fleet on it.
Specification note. Lenovo does not publish PSREF specification sheets for most of its accessories, and for several products in this range it publishes very little at all. Every figure on this page comes from a named Lenovo document — a product datasheet, a Lenovo brochure or Lenovo's own product page — and the source is linked below. Where Lenovo publishes no figure, this page says so. Reseller listings for these products circulate detailed specifications that we could not trace to Lenovo, and we have left those out rather than repeat them. If a particular figure decides your purchase, ask us and we will get it confirmed by Lenovo before you order. Specifications and prices are subject to change by Lenovo without notice.

Compatibility & Fit
A word about USB-A dongles and modern laptops. Lenovo's 2.4 GHz wireless input devices connect through a USB-A nano receiver. Many current laptops — including several ThinkPads — have few or no USB-A ports, so check the machine before you order. A USB-C adapter solves it, or a dock; the ThinkPad and Lenovo docks in our range all provide USB-A ports. The one device in this range that avoids the problem entirely is the Wireless Multi-Mode Pro Combo 6000, which also does Bluetooth.
Two years on a set of AA cells is the headline. Across a floor of fifty desks, a combo that needs new batteries once every two years is a fundamentally different support proposition from one that needs them twice a year. Multiply it out and the battery life is worth more than the price difference to a cheaper combo.
The replaceable dongle is the other reason to choose it. Lenovo explicitly publishes dongle replacement for this combo. The Essential Wireless Combo Gen 2 in Lenovo's brochure explicitly does not — lose the nano receiver and the keyboard and mouse become unusable. For any organisation where devices get moved between desks, that difference eventually costs money.
Four-way scrolling deserves a mention. Horizontal scrolling from the wheel itself, without holding a modifier key. In wide spreadsheets, Gantt charts, video timelines and large drawings it saves a real amount of fiddling, and no other mouse in this range publishes it.
And the availability caveat. Lenovo has moved this SKU off its main US catalogue onto the parts store, while continuing to sell it across Asia-Pacific. It has issued no end-of-life notice and named no replacement. That is a mixed signal rather than a clear one. For one desk it does not matter; for a fleet standard, ask us what supply actually looks like before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions — Lenovo Professional Wireless Combo Keyboard & Mouse
Can I replace the wireless dongle if it is lost?
Yes — Lenovo publishes dongle replacement as available for this combo, which is unusual. Lenovo's Essential Wireless Combo Gen 2 explicitly does not offer it. For an organisation where devices move between desks, that is a meaningful difference.
How long do the batteries last?
Lenovo publishes up to 24 months for both pieces — two AA cells in the keyboard and one or two in the mouse. Whether cells ship in the box is not published; ask us and we will confirm.
What is four-way scrolling and do I need it?
The scroll wheel tilts sideways as well as turning, so you can scroll horizontally without holding a modifier key. In wide spreadsheets, timelines and large drawings it saves a lot of small annoyances. No other mouse in this range publishes it.
Is this product still available?
Lenovo has moved it off its main US catalogue onto the parts store, while continuing to list it across Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. Lenovo has published no end-of-life notice and named no successor. For a single desk that is fine; for a fleet standard, ask us about supply first.
Does it have Bluetooth?
No — 2.4 GHz through the nano USB-A receiver only. The Wireless Multi-Mode Pro Combo 6000 in the ordering table is the model in this range that also does Bluetooth.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
Lenovo publishes 2 years for this combo. Every unit SourceIT sells also carries local Singapore warranty support and a GST invoice.
