The HPE StoreEasy 1670 Storage with Microsoft Windows Server IoT 2022 (S2A32A) is the 12-bay HPE StoreEasy 1670 base system on the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 platform: Windows Server IoT 2022 for Storage pre-installed on a mirrored NVMe boot device, with the LFF data bays left free for the drive bundles you choose.
Hardware RAID and 4 x 1GbE out of the box
An HPE MR416i-o Gen11 controller with 8 GB flash-backed cache drives the data bays (RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60), a 4-port 1GbE OCP adapter handles clients, and three PCIe slots remain for 10/25GbE networking or SAS expansion.
Up to 320 TB in one chassis
Twelve LFF bays standard, sixteen with the optional mid-chassis cage, for up to 320 TB raw with 20 TB SAS drives. HPE's 3-year parts, labour and onsite warranty applies.

Which drives can I use?
HPE SAS 12G (2-20 TB) and SATA 6G (1-18 TB) LFF low-profile drives, or SAS read-intensive SSDs. HPE StoreEasy 4-pack bundles (8, 16, 24, 48 and 64 TB) are the simplest way to populate the bays.
Can it run a second processor?
No. The 16-core licence cap of Windows Server IoT 2022 for Storage means the 1670 is offered single-socket only.
