140 ppm Production Scanning for Central Scanning Rooms
The Ricoh fi-7900 is an A3 production scanner built for high-volume, centralised capture. It scans at 140 pages per minute simplex and 280 images per minute duplex (A4 landscape, 200/300 dpi), holds 500 sheets in the ADF and is rated by Ricoh for an expected daily volume of 120,000 sheets.
Operator-Friendly Design
Job registration lets operators start preset jobs directly from the scanner, and the easily accessible operator panel with LCD status display keeps them informed. LED lights inside the unit make cleaning dust, debris and ink residue from the glass quick and easy.
Accurate Feeding for Mixed Batches
Automatic Separation Control calibrates the torque on the brake rollers so documents feed one at a time, while the fi Series Skew Reducer uses independent separator rollers so a skewed page does not affect the pages behind it. Ultrasonic overlap detection and length detection help prevent missed pages.
Organised Output and Smarter Software
The improved Stacking Control function and Elevator Stacker let operators gather scanned documents quickly and move on to the next batch. The PaperStream IP driver with Automatic Profile Selection applies the right image processing to each document type, and PaperStream Capture routes output to its destination.

Yes. It accepts documents up to 304.8 x 431.8 mm (12 x 17 in) in the ADF, and long pages up to 5,588 mm.
How does it connect?
By USB 2.0. The fi-7900 does not have a network port; if you need Gigabit Ethernet, ask us about the fi-8820, fi-8930 and fi-8950.
Does it work with a Mac?
Ricoh lists Windows 11, Windows 10 and Windows Server for the fi-7900. macOS and Linux are not listed on the datasheet.
