Convert a TRACE Dual Back to a Single-Monitor Setup

The Ergotron TRACE Single Conversion Kit does exactly what Ergotron says it does: it converts your dual configuration to a single monitor set-up to meet changing needs, users or technology. Fit it to an installed TRACE Dual Monitor Mount (45-631-216 or 45-631-224) and the shared bow and second pivot come off, leaving a clean single-display TRACE. Note the direction carefully — to go the other way and add a second screen, you need the Dual Bow Conversion Kit, 47-110-224.

Read the direction carefully. Despite the name, the TRACE Single Conversion Kit does not convert a single mount to something else — it converts a dual TRACE configuration back to a single-monitor set-up. Ergotron's own wording: “converts your dual configuration to a single monitor set-up to meet changing needs, users or technology.” If you want to go the other way and add a second screen to a single mount, you need the TRACE Dual Bow Conversion Kit (47-110-224) instead. This is the single most common ordering error on the TRACE range.

What it fits: an installed Ergotron TRACE Dual Monitor Mount, 45-631-224 or 45-631-216. It is not a standalone mount — it has no base, lift column, arm or desk clamp, and cannot be used on its own.

Finish: matte black only. On a white 45-631-216 host mount the converted pivot will not colour-match; order accordingly or speak to SourceIT.

Display size and weight: Ergotron does not publish a separate rating for the kit. The practical limits are those of the TRACE platform it is fitted to. Send SourceIT your monitor model and the part number of your existing mount and we will confirm before you order.
