PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cisco Meraki MR36H Wi-Fi 6 Wall Plate Access Point (MR36H-HW) — Lifetime Hardware Warranty
Wi-Fi 6 in a wall plate form factor
The Cisco Meraki MR36H is a cloud-managed 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) access point built to mount over a standard junction box or sit on a desk. It suits hotel rooms, student housing, dormitories, clinics and branch offices where each room needs its own Wi-Fi and wired ports.
2x2 MU-MIMO on two client radios
Separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz client-serving radios each run 2x2 MIMO with two spatial streams. Meraki lists up to 1,201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 286 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, for a 1.5 Gbps maximum dual-radio aggregate frame rate in the MR36H data sheet.
Integrated gigabit switch with PoE output
Alongside the radios, the MR36H provides three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one of which supplies 802.3af PoE to a phone, camera or IoT device, plus a non-managed passthrough port.
Dedicated security and Bluetooth radios
A third dual-band radio scans continuously for WIDS/WIPS (Air Marshal), spectrum analysis and location analytics, and a Bluetooth Low Energy radio supports beacons and BLE scanning. All four radios operate concurrently.
Managed from the Meraki dashboard
The MR36H is configured, monitored and updated from the Cisco Meraki cloud dashboard, with zero-touch provisioning, WPA3 security and automatic firmware updates. A Meraki access point licence is required.

Compatibility & Software Support
Cloud management
The MR36H is managed exclusively through the Cisco Meraki cloud dashboard. Configuration, RF optimisation, firmware and monitoring are handled from the dashboard; there is no local controller.
Licensing
Cisco Meraki states that a Meraki access point licence is required to operate the MR36H. The licence is purchased separately for the term required.
Power sources
Power the MR36H from an 802.3at (PoE+) switch port or injector. The PoE output LAN port can then supply an 802.3af device.
Warranty
Sold by SourceIT as a Singapore unit. Cisco Meraki states a lifetime hardware warranty with advanced replacement included in its MR36H data sheet. Keep your SourceIT invoice as proof of purchase for warranty claims.
