Catalyst 9300L hardware, Meraki cloud management
The Cisco C9300L-24P-4X-M is the Meraki cloud-managed version of the Catalyst 9300L (the -M suffix). Cisco Meraki states it integrates Meraki dashboard management with high-performance switching hardware, with 4 x 10G/1G SFP+ fixed uplinks.
Cloud management with IOS XE
Cisco Meraki documents that -M switches run Cloud Management with IOS XE firmware, with the Meraki management layer natively integrated with IOS XE. A Meraki licence (Enterprise or Advanced) is required; Meraki allows a 30-day grace period for onboarding to the dashboard.
PoE+ for access devices

Meraki Licence Required
Cisco Meraki states that cloud-born Catalyst switches (-M) require Meraki licences, with a 30-day grace period for onboarding to the Meraki dashboard. The Catalyst 9300-M licence comes in Enterprise and Advanced editions with 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 year terms; Adaptive Policy, NetFlow v10 (IPFIX) and Encrypted Traffic Analytics are Advanced features. In co-termination organisations, one edition must be used across MS390, C9300-M, MS150 and MS130 switches. The licence is not included with this hardware part number.
Management
The switch runs Cloud Management with IOS XE and is managed through the Meraki dashboard. Cisco Meraki's FAQ describes the Meraki management layer as natively integrated with IOS XE.
Stacking
Stacking requires the optional C9300L-STAK-KIT2-M (two adapters and a 50 cm cable); spare STACK-T3A-50CM-M, STACK-T3A-1M-M and STACK-T3A-3M-M cables are available. Up to eight switches can be stacked.

What the Part Number Covers
Per the Meraki data sheet the box contains the switch, one default power supply (715W AC, PWR-C1-715WAC-P-M), rack mount brackets and three pre-installed fans. Cisco's ordering guide states that the Meraki licence, power cables, secondary power supply, uplink modules, SSD and accessories are all selected separately for -M models.
