StackWise Cable for Catalyst 9300 and 9300X
The Cisco STACK-T1-3M= is a 3 m Type 1 data stacking cable. Cisco lists the STACK-T1 cables as the stacking cable option for Catalyst 9300 switches, which use StackWise-480 (480 Gbps), and Catalyst 9300X switches, which use StackWise-1T (1 Tbps). Up to eight switches can be stacked and managed as one logical switch.
The Long Cable in the Ring
StackWise stacks are cabled in a ring. Adjacent switches are normally joined with the 50 cm or 1 m STACK-T1 cables, while the 3 m length is typically used to close the ring from the bottom switch back to the top, or to stack switches mounted further apart in the rack.
Also Used on the Catalyst 3850
The same STACK-T1-50CM, STACK-T1-1M and STACK-T1-3M part numbers are listed in the Catalyst 3850 hardware installation guide for that series' StackWise-480 stacking. Note that the Catalyst 3850 is an end-of-life platform; see the Compatibility accordion for dates.
Handling Specifications
Cisco specifies a minimum bend radius of 91 mm (3.58 in.) and a minimum coiled diameter of 182 mm (7.17 in.) for the 3 m STACK-T1 cable. Respecting these limits during cable management helps avoid damage to the cable and connectors.
Not for Catalyst 9300L or 9200
Catalyst 9300L / 9300LM switches stack with StackWise-320 and use STACK-T3 cables with the C9300L-STACK-KIT, while Catalyst 9200 and 9200L switches use STACK-T4 cables. STACK-T1 cables are not listed for either of those families.

Compatible Switches
Cisco's Catalyst 9300 data sheet lists STACK-T1-50CM, STACK-T1-1M and STACK-T1-3M as cable options for the C9300 and C9300X SKUs. The Catalyst 3850 hardware installation guide lists the same STACK-T1 cables for Catalyst 3850 stacking.
Not Compatible With
Catalyst 9300L / 9300LM (StackWise-320, STACK-T3 cables) and Catalyst 9200 / 9200L (StackWise-160 / StackWise-80, STACK-T4 cables).
Catalyst 3850 Lifecycle
Cisco's End-of-Sale notice for the main Catalyst 3850 switch models (for example WS-C3850-48P-E) gives an End-of-Sale date of 30 October 2020 and a last date of support of 31 October 2025, with Catalyst 9300 models named as replacements. Other Catalyst 3850 variants were covered by later notices. The cable itself has no End-of-Sale notice on Cisco's Catalyst 9300 EoL listing as of October 2026.
