The kit pairs the same compute platform used across the range with a genuinely different camera: a true optical pan-tilt-zoom unit rather than the electronic PTZ camera fitted to the two smaller kits.
True PTZ Camera with 24x Optical Zoom
Where the Starter and Small/Medium Room kits use an ePTZ camera — a fixed lens with digital reframing inside one wide shot — the Large Room Kit's camera is a true PTZ unit that physically pans, tilts and zooms, with up to 24x optical zoom. That is a meaningful difference for a big room: the camera can genuinely move to frame a speaker at the far end of a long boardroom table rather than just cropping into a fixed wide shot, and AI-powered auto-framing with smart composition keeps the shot centred on whoever is talking as the meeting moves around the room.
10.1-Inch Touch Control Panel, Same as Small/Medium Room
Control is via the same 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen fitted to the Small/Medium Room kit, running at 1280 x 800 resolution, with one-touch meeting join, volume and camera control, and participant management. Cabling and Display Connection
The compute unit connects to the room display over HDMI (two HDMI outputs are provided, useful where a large room has more than one display), to the network over 2.5G wired LAN or Wi-Fi 6E, and to the PTZ camera, speakerphone and touch panel over USB.
Camera Placement in a Large Room
Because the camera physically pans, tilts and zooms rather than just digitally cropping a wide shot, placement matters more here than with an ePTZ camera — position it with a clear line of sight down the length of the table so its auto-framing and speaker-tracking can actually move to follow the conversation. We can advise on placement for a specific room layout on request.
Mounting
The compute unit mounts on a magnetic stand, on a wall, or under a table using the included hardware. The touch panel typically sits on the table or a nearby wall mount for easy reach from anywhere in a larger room.
Enrolment and Google Workspace Setup
The kit enrols as a Google Meet Rooms device through the Google Admin Console, inheriting your organisation's calendar integration, room booking and centralised update policy automatically.
Stepping Down a Tier
