The ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1 P3406CCA-LY0040X is a 14-inch business laptop built on the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, with 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Pro preinstalled. Intel Core Ultra 7 255H with Intel AI Boost NPU
The Core Ultra 7 255H combines 16 cores and 16 threads, running from 2.0GHz up to 5.1GHz with 24MB of cache, so heavier multitasking such as large Excel models, many browser tabs and a video call at the same time stays responsive. The built-in Intel AI Boost NPU (up to 13 TOPS) takes on supported background AI work such as Windows Studio Effects, so camera blur and noise suppression do not tie up the main cores.
14.0-inch WUXGA Anti-Glare Display
The 14.0-inch non-touch panel runs at WUXGA 1920 x 1200 in a 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives you more vertical space for documents and spreadsheets than a standard 16:9 Full HD screen. It is anti-glare, rated at 300 nits with 800:1 typical contrast and 45% NTSC colour gamut, and has a 88% screen-to-body ratio. It suits office lighting well; it is not aimed at colour-critical design work.
Upgradeable Memory and Storage
Memory is 16GB DDR5 in SO-DIMM form across two slots, so it can be expanded later (ASUS lists up to 96GB for this platform) rather than being soldered to the board. Storage is a 512GB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, and the chassis also has a second M.2 2230 PCIe 4.0 slot, which is useful if your IT team wants to add a second drive. Upgrades require removing the bottom case.

Connectivity & Setup / Security Features
Docking and External Displays
The Thunderbolt 4 port carries display, data at up to 40Gbps and charging over one cable, so a Thunderbolt or USB-C dock at the desk can power the laptop and drive external monitors in a single connection. The second USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2) also supports display output and power delivery, and HDMI 2.1 connects a monitor or meeting-room screen directly.
Wired and Wireless Networking
The built-in RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port connects straight to an office LAN with no adapter. Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be, tri-band 2x2) works with current Wi-Fi 7 access points and falls back to Wi-Fi 6E/6/5 networks; Bluetooth 5.4 handles headsets, mice and keyboards.
First-Time Setup
The laptop ships with Windows 11 Pro, so it can join Microsoft Entra ID or an on-premises Active Directory domain and be enrolled in Intune or another MDM on first boot. MyASUS provides system diagnostics, battery health charging (to limit charge level on machines that stay plugged in) and fan profiles. ASUS MyExpert adds ExpertMeet meeting tools on supported configurations.
Sign-In and Device Protection
Users can sign in with the fingerprint sensor in the power key or the IR camera through Windows Hello, and the physical shutter closes the camera when it is not in use. Firmware TPM supports BitLocker drive encryption, and Intel Boot Guard and BIOS Guard protect the firmware from tampering. Absolute Persistence 2.0 support lets IT track and lock lost devices, and the Kensington Nano slot accepts a cable lock for hot-desk areas.
