480W of 48VDC Power for Industrial PoE Switches
The IE048-480 delivers a nominal 48VDC at 10A (15A peak) to feed Allied Telesis industrial switches and their PoE loads. Allied Telesis tests and validates the IE048 Series with its own industrial products, so you know the supply suits the switch it powers.
Built for Harsh Locations
A compact stainless-steel case with a standard TH35 DIN rail clip, convection cooling and an operating range of -25°C to 70°C (start-up tested at -40°C) make it suitable for exposed cabinets. It is listed for Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.
Efficient, Stable and Adjustable
Active power factor correction reduces reactive power and harmonics, and efficiency reaches 94% typical at 230VAC. The output can be trimmed from 45.0V to 55.2V with the front-panel TRM screw, for example to reach the 54V needed for PoE+ sourcing.
Remote Control and Status Relay
A remote ON/OFF input and a DC_OK relay contact let you switch the output and monitor power health from a controller, while front LEDs show DC_OK and alarm status. Peak-current, over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature protection are built in.

Can it power PoE+ on an IE340 switch?
Yes. IE340 switches need 54Vdc for PoE+ sourcing; the IE048-480 output can be adjusted up to 55.2V with the TRM screw. Allied Telesis recommends checking the output with a voltmeter when adjusting.
Can it run from a DC source?
Yes. It accepts 88 to 350VDC as well as 90 to 264VAC input.
