Fast Ethernet PoE+ at the Network Edge
The CentreCOM FS980M/28PS gives you 24 x 10/100TX ports, every one able to power devices to the IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standard, plus 4 x 100/1000X SFP ports for fibre uplinks or stacking. A 375 W PoE budget covers all 24 ports at 15.4 W or 12 ports at the full 30 W.
Stack for Resilience and Port Density
Up to four FS980M units can be combined with VCStack into one logical switch, so traffic keeps flowing if one member fails and the stack is managed as a single device.
Automated Management with AMF
As an Autonomous Management Framework edge node, the switch can be backed up, upgraded, provisioned and recovered automatically from an AMF master, cutting the routine work of running a multi-switch network.
Layer 3 Lite Routing and Edge Security
Static IPv4 routing and RIPv1/v2 handle simple inter-VLAN routing, while 802.1X, MAC and web authentication, ACLs, DHCP snooping and guest VLANs protect the most exposed part of the network.

No. The 24 RJ-45 ports are 10/100TX Fast Ethernet. The 4 SFP ports support 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps modules and are used for uplinks or stacking.
