Lithium-Ion Online UPS with a 5-Year Warranty
The Vertiv™ Liebert® GXT5 Lithium-Ion GXT5LI-2000IRT2UXL is a 2000 VA / 2000 W online double-conversion UPS in a 2U rack/tower chassis, built around lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Vertiv backs the UPS and its battery with a 5-year warranty.
Vertiv quotes a battery life of 8–10 years — against the 3–5 years typical of VRLA — and up to 10 times more discharge cycles, so in most sites you will not replace batteries during the UPS’s service life. Batteries recharge to 90% in under 2 hours.
More Runtime in the Same 2U
Internal runtime is long for the size: Vertiv publishes 9 min at full load and 21 min at half load. Add one VEBCLI-48VRT1U 1U lithium external battery cabinet (Vertiv part 02313173) for 21 min at full load and 44.6 min at half load.
Lithium-ion also tolerates heat better than lead-acid, which suits Singapore network closets and edge cabinets without dedicated cooling. The unit weighs 17 kg, lighter than the equivalent VRLA GXT5.
Online Double Conversion, High Efficiency
In online mode the inverter regenerates the output continuously, so there is no transfer time to battery; the watt rating equals the VA rating. Vertiv rates efficiency at up to 94% online and up to 98% in Active ECO mode.
Remote Management
USB, serial (RS232) and dry contacts are standard, with an IntelliSlot bay for the optional RDU101 web/SNMP card.
