True Online Double-Conversion Protection at Unity Power Factor
The Vertiv™ Liebert® GXT5 GXT5-3000IRT2UXL is a 3000 VA / 3000 W online double-conversion UPS in a 2U rack/tower chassis. Because the output power factor is 1.0, the watt rating equals the VA rating — you can load it to the full 3000 W, which is more usable power than a traditional 0.8 or 0.9 PF UPS of the same VA size.
In online mode the inverter rebuilds a clean pure sine wave all the time, so connected servers, storage and network switches never see raw mains disturbances, and there is no transfer break when the utility fails. Vertiv rates online-mode efficiency at up to 94%, rising to up to 98% in ECO mode.
Built for Edge IT, Server Rooms and Network Closets
Vertiv positions the GXT5 750 VA–3 kVA range for network computers, large network peripherals, storage devices, servers and small computer rooms. The same unit mounts in a 19-inch rack or stands as a tower, and the full-colour graphic LCD uses gravity sensing to flip its display to match the orientation you install it in.
Programmable Outlets and Automatic Battery Detection
Output is on 6 x IEC C13 + 1 x IEC C19. Individually programmable outlet groups let you power-cycle a hung device remotely, schedule shutdown of non-critical loads, or shed load to stretch runtime for the equipment that matters.
Runtime is extendable with the GXT5-EBC72VRT2U external battery cabinet; the UPS auto-detects connected cabinets and recalculates runtime. Vertiv publishes 3.3 min at full load and 10.8 min at half load on the internal battery, rising to 19.1 min and 47.5 min with one external cabinet.
Remote Management and Hot-Swap Batteries
USB and RS232 ports are standard, with an IntelliSlot bay for an optional RDU101/RDU120 network card that adds web and SNMP monitoring. Vertiv Power Insight software is free, and the UPS reports battery health and predicts its replacement date. Dry contacts and an automatic internal bypass are built in.

What It Is Suited To
Servers, storage, network switches and routers, VoIP and CCTV recorders in a rack or on a shelf. Add up the continuous watts of your equipment and keep it under 3000 W with headroom for growth; because PF is 1.0, the watt rating is the full 3000 W.
Input and Outlets
The UPS takes power through an IEC 60320 C20 inlet and delivers it on 6 x IEC C13 + 1 x IEC C19. Equipment with BS 1363 (Type G) plugs needs IEC C14 leads or an IEC-input power strip; ask us if you need one quoted.
Monitoring and Shutdown
USB and RS232 work with Vertiv Power Insight for automatic, unattended shutdown. For network monitoring over web/SNMP add the RDU101 card (Vertiv part 02312384), which SourceIT also supplies. Environmental sensors connect through the network card.
Maintenance Bypass
Vertiv pairs this model with the Liebert MicroPOD MP2-220L wrap-around maintenance bypass, so the UPS can be serviced or replaced without switching off the load.

Yes. The GXT5 is online double conversion: the load runs from the inverter at all times, so there is no transfer time to battery and the output is a regulated pure sine wave.

Yes. It is a 2U rack/tower convertible unit and the rail kit is bundled in the Singapore distributor configuration. The LCD re-orients itself automatically.
Does it support SNMP?
Yes, with the optional RDU101 (or RDU120) network card fitted into the IntelliSlot bay. USB and RS232 are standard.
Can I replace the batteries myself?
The batteries are hot-swappable. The matching replacement kit is GXT5-72VBATKIT.
