AMD Ryzen R1600
A dual-core / 4-thread AMD Ryzen R1600 (up to 3.1 GHz) with 4 GB DDR4 memory, upgradeable to 32 GB, runs backup, file sharing and Synology Drive.
2.5GbE and NVMe Cache
One 2.5GbE and one 1GbE port plus two M.2 NVMe slots for SSD cache.

The neo+ model ships with 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory to lower the entry price; it runs the same DSM platform as the Plus series and accepts Synology ECC memory upgrades up to 32 GB. Synology does not support mixing non-ECC and ECC modules. The DS725+ ships with 4 GB ECC memory.
