The neo+ model ships with 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory to lower the entry price; it runs the same DSM platform as the Plus series and accepts Synology ECC memory upgrades up to 32 GB. Synology does not support mixing non-ECC and ECC modules. The DS925+ ships with 4 GB ECC memory.
Selection Tip
Need 5 or 8 bays at the start? Choose the DS1525neo+ or DS1825neo+. The DS925neo+ has no PCIe slot for 10GbE.
