A 4-core / 8-thread AMD Ryzen V1500B with 4 GB DDR4 memory (up to 32 GB) for departmental file servers, backup targets and virtualisation.
PCIe for 10/25GbE
Two 2.5GbE ports as standard and a PCIe Gen3 slot for an optional 10GbE or 25GbE network card.

neo+ vs Plus
The neo+ model ships with 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory to lower the entry price; it runs the same DSM platform as the Plus series and accepts Synology ECC memory upgrades up to 32 GB. Synology does not support mixing non-ECC and ECC modules. The DS1825+ ships with 8 GB ECC memory.
Network Cards
Fit a Synology 10GbE card such as the E10G30-T2 (RJ-45) or E10G30-F2 (SFP+) in the PCIe slot; check Synology's compatibility list for your card.
