neo+ vs Plus
The neo+ model ships with 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory to lower the entry price; it runs the same DSM platform as the Plus series and accepts Synology ECC memory upgrades up to 32 GB. Synology does not support mixing non-ECC and ECC modules. The DS1525+ ships with 8 GB ECC memory.
Selection Tip
Add the E10G22-T1-Mini for 10GbE. For 8 bays and a full PCIe slot, choose the DS1825neo+.
