Microsoft Exchange Online Kiosk Annual Subscription (12 Months)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Microsoft Exchange Online Kiosk Annual Subscription (12 Months) (CFQ7TTC0LH0L:0001) - Local Support
What Exchange Online Kiosk is, and who it is for
The lowest tier of hosted mailbox, licensed per user on a 12-month term, with a 2 GB mailbox. It exists for frontline and shift workers who need a company email address and little else — retail floor staff, warehouse operatives, field engineers. It is a named-user licence, not a shared one. If you are licensing desk-based staff, this is the wrong product and the restrictions below will hurt within a week.
Read the restrictions before you buy
Kiosk is defined as much by what it lacks as by what it has. Microsoft lists no archive mailbox, no Outlook desktop support, no Exchange Web Services, no in-place or litigation hold, no information rights management with Azure Information Protection, no Advanced Message Encryption or Customer Key, no role-based permissions or role groups, no delegate access, no hierarchical address book, no inactive mailboxes, no Microsoft 365 Groups, no public folders and no single item recovery. Microsoft also states that Kiosk calendars can only be accessed or shared through Outlook on the web. Delegate access and shared calendars are the two absences that generate the most complaints, so check them against your requirement now rather than later.
How users actually get their mail
Outlook on the web, and Outlook mobile. Microsoft's service description marks Outlook for Windows as not available on Kiosk, and separately notes that customers with only an Exchange Online licence and no Office licence may use the Outlook mobile app on devices with screens of 10.1 inches or smaller. That screen-size condition is easy to miss and it rules out mail on a tablet for this licence tier.
Part number and eDiscovery — two points to be precise about
This listing is the Exchange Online Kiosk plan, part number CFQ7TTC0LH0L:0001. Quote that when you order, and ask us to confirm it against your tenant if you are matching an existing subscription. On eDiscovery, read the wording carefully: what Microsoft lists for Kiosk is eDiscovery CONTENT SEARCH, not eDiscovery without qualification. Case management and hold require higher licensing, and Kiosk explicitly has no in-place or litigation hold. Prices on this page are the Singapore dollar prices charged here.

Subscription terms
| Term | 12 months |
| Billing | Annual subscription |
| Metric | Per user |
| What happens at expiry | Microsoft's published path for business subscriptions runs Active, then Expired for roughly 30 days with normal access retained, then Disabled for roughly 90 days during which data is read-only and reachable by administrators only, and then deleted. Explicit cancellation shortens this. Renew before the term ends if the data matters. |
| Support route | Microsoft's admin support is included with subscriptions bought direct from Microsoft. Where a subscription is bought through a partner, Microsoft routes support through that partner — which on this order is us. |

The Outlook Desktop Application — Read This Before You Budget
| Outlook desktop on Kiosk | Not available. Microsoft's service description marks Outlook for Windows as not available on the Kiosk plan. |
| Outlook on the web | Included |
| Outlook mobile | Microsoft notes that customers with only an Exchange Online licence and no Office licence may use the Outlook mobile app on devices with screens 10.1 inches or smaller. |
| General rule across the range | No Exchange Online plan licenses the Outlook desktop application. Microsoft's list of licences that include the Outlook desktop app names no Exchange Online plan. |
| Budget implication | If your users need installed Outlook, price a Microsoft 365 plan that includes the desktop applications. Ask us and we will compare the routes. |

Frequently Asked Questions — Exchange Online Kiosk
Can Kiosk users use the Outlook desktop application?
No. Microsoft's service description marks Outlook for Windows as not available on Kiosk. Users get Outlook on the web, and Outlook mobile on devices with screens of 10.1 inches or smaller where the user holds only an Exchange Online licence.
Can Kiosk users share calendars?
Only through Outlook on the web. Microsoft states that Kiosk calendars can only be accessed or shared through Outlook on the web. Delegate access is not available at all on this tier.
Does Kiosk include eDiscovery?
It includes eDiscovery content search, which is what Microsoft lists. It does not include in-place hold or litigation hold, and eDiscovery case management requires higher licensing. Read "eDiscovery" on this tier as content search only.
Is 2 GB enough?
For a frontline worker receiving rota, safety and announcement mail, usually yes. For anyone sending or receiving attachments daily, no — and there is no archive mailbox on this tier to fall back on. If in doubt, Plan 1 at 50 GB is the safer buy and we can price both for you.
What happens if I do not renew?
Microsoft's published path for business subscriptions runs Active, then Expired for roughly 30 days with normal access retained, then Disabled for roughly 90 days during which the data is read-only and reachable by administrators only, and then deletion. For a mailbox this is not an abstract risk. Renew before the term ends.
Who supports it?
Microsoft includes admin support with subscriptions bought directly from Microsoft. Where a subscription is bought through a partner, Microsoft routes support through that partner — on this order, that is us, in Singapore, in your timezone.
What is the uptime commitment?
Microsoft's Exchange Online product page states a guaranteed 99.9% uptime with a financially backed service level agreement. That figure is attributed to the product page deliberately: Microsoft does not publish a per-plan SLA percentage, so this page does not present 99.9% as a guarantee specific to this plan.
