Logitech Zone Wired Headset MS with Noise Canceling Mic
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Logitech Zone Wired Headset MS with Noise Canceling Mic (981-001096) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Microsoft Teams Certified Wired Headset for Open-Plan Offices
The Logitech Zone Wired Headset MS (981-001096) is a USB-C business headset certified for Microsoft Teams, built for people who spend the working day in back-to-back calls. Two ECM noise-cancelling microphones with Logitech's DSP algorithm suppress sound coming from more than about 60 cm away, so the colleague at the next desk does not join your call. For Singapore offices running Teams as the standard, it is the straightforward, plug-and-play deployment: no dongle, no pairing, no battery to run flat mid-meeting.
Dual Noise-Cancelling Microphones with a 270° Flip-to-Mute Boom
The primary microphone is uni-directional and the secondary is omni-directional, working together so that your voice is isolated from the room. The boom rotates through 270°, so the headset can be worn on either ear, and flipping the boom up mutes the call instantly — a physical, unambiguous mute that no software toggle can match when you need to cough or answer a question in the room.
40 mm Drivers Tuned for Speech and Music
A 40 mm dynamic driver in each cup delivers 20 Hz – 16 kHz in music mode at 99 dB ±3 dB sensitivity, so the same headset handles a Teams call at 9 am and focus music at 3 pm. Memory-foam ear cushions provide passive noise isolation. Note that Zone Wired is a passive-isolation design — it does not include active noise cancellation.
USB-C with USB-A Adapter, Deployable Across the Whole Fleet
Zone Wired connects over USB-C and ships with a USB-A adapter, so it works on new and older corporate laptops and docks without a procurement conversation. Logi Tune lets each user set EQ and sidetone, while IT can monitor and update the fleet centrally through Logitech Sync. At 211 g with a 1.9 m cable, it is comfortable for a full shift.

Frequently Asked Questions — Logitech Zone Wired
What is the difference between the MS and the UC version of Zone Wired?
Both versions share identical audio hardware and the same certification list. Logitech tunes the Microsoft variant for Teams and gives it a purple status LED, while the UC variant uses a red LED. If your organisation standardises on Microsoft Teams, take the MS version; if you run a mixed environment or lead with Zoom, Google Meet or Webex, the Logitech Zone Wired Headset UC (981-001097) is the natural choice.
Does the Logitech Zone Wired have active noise cancellation?
No. Zone Wired uses passive noise isolation from its memory-foam ear cushions, and its dual microphones are noise-cancelling on the transmit side so callers do not hear your office. If you need ANC on the listening side, the Logitech Zone Wired 2 for Business (981-001629) adds adaptive hybrid ANC over the same USB-C connection.
How does Zone Wired compare with the Logitech H570e?
The Logitech H570e (981-000574) is the value business headset — solid, USB-A, and widely deployed in contact centres. Zone Wired sits a tier above it with 40 mm drivers, dual ECM microphones with DSP noise cancellation, USB-C connectivity, Logi Tune tuning and Logitech Sync fleet management. For high-call-volume knowledge workers in open-plan offices, Zone Wired is the better fit.
Will it work with my laptop dock or an older USB-A machine?
Yes. The headset terminates in USB-C and a USB-A adapter is supplied in the box, so it connects to modern USB-C docks and to older USB-A laptops without additional purchases. It is a USB Audio and HID class device, so no driver installation is needed on Windows, macOS or ChromeOS.
Why does the Logitech datasheet show a different part number to my invoice?
Logitech numbers this headset differently by region. Its global and Americas datasheets often quote 981-000871 and 981-000876, whereas the units sold in this market carry 981-001096. The hardware and specification are the same — we have not “corrected” the number, we have listed the part number you will actually receive.
Can our IT team manage these headsets centrally?
Yes. Zone Wired is supported in Logitech Sync, so IT can see which headsets are deployed, check firmware levels and push updates from the same console used for Logitech meeting-room hardware. Individual users can adjust EQ and sidetone in Logi Tune on Windows or macOS.
Does SourceIT provide local warranty on the Logitech Zone Wired Headset MS?
Yes. Every Logitech Zone Wired Headset MS sold by SourceIT comes with 2 years local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
