Lenovo Powered USB-C Travel Hub
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Lenovo Powered USB-C Travel Hub (4X90S92381) - Local Warranty
HDMI at 4K 60 Hz, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet and 52 W of Charging, at 116 Grams
The Lenovo Powered USB-C Travel Hub is the most capable of Lenovo's three travel hubs: HDMI 2.0 driving 4K at 60 Hz, a VGA output for older projectors, gigabit Ethernet, two USB-A ports and a USB-C port that passes up to 52 W of charging through to the laptop. All of it in a 130 mm body weighing 116 grams.
The 4K 60 Hz Is What Separates It From Its Siblings
Lenovo's other two travel hubs use HDMI 1.4 and top out at 4K 30 Hz, which is unpleasant for anything that moves. This one uses HDMI 2.0 at 60 Hz. If the hub will ever drive a 4K screen for real work rather than a slide deck, that difference decides it.
Read the Numbers Carefully: 52 W, and One Display
Two things worth catching before you order. First, the pass-through is 52 W to the laptop, not 65 W — plug in a Lenovo 65 W adapter and the hub keeps the rest for itself. Second, Lenovo publishes a maximum of one display: the HDMI and VGA outputs are alternatives, not a dual-monitor setup.
Please Note: Lenovo Appears to Have Withdrawn It
Lenovo's product page for this part number now redirects to a category landing page, though Lenovo continues to host firmware updates for it. Lenovo has issued no formal end-of-life notice. Ask us about supply before you order, particularly for more than one.

Power
| Pass-Through to the Laptop | Up to 52 W |
| Hub's Own Consumption | 15 W. Lenovo notes the hub can be powered by the system without an additional AC adapter |
| Power Adapter Included | No. Lenovo states that pass-through requires a Lenovo 45 W or 65 W USB-C adapter, which is not in the box |
| Why 52 W and not 65 W | The hub draws its own power from the same adapter, so a 65 W charger leaves roughly 52 W for the laptop. That is normal for pass-through hubs and it is why Lenovo publishes the two figures separately |

Compatibility & Fit
Choosing between Lenovo's three travel hubs. This one is the only one with 4K at 60 Hz and the only one with both Ethernet and power pass-through. The USB-C Travel Hub Gen 2 is smaller and cheaper but has no power pass-through at all, so it occupies the laptop's USB-C port without charging it. The USB-C 7-in-1 Hub has more USB ports and card readers but no Ethernet. All three are in the ordering table above. Despite the name, the Gen 2 is not an upgrade on this one.
VGA is here for a reason. Meeting rooms, lecture theatres and client sites across Singapore still have VGA projectors. A hub that carries both HDMI and VGA means the person presenting does not need to know in advance which the room has. Remember it is one output at a time, and that VGA carries no audio — sound will come from the laptop unless a separate audio cable is run.
How to power it properly. Connect a Lenovo 45 W or 65 W USB-C adapter to the hub's USB-C port and the laptop charges through the hub while everything else is connected. Without an adapter the hub runs on bus power and the laptop does not charge. No adapter ships with the hub — the 65W Standard AC Adapter in the ordering table is the one we would quote alongside.
What Lenovo does not publish. No VGA maximum resolution, and no list of which ThinkPads get PXE boot, Wake-on-LAN and MAC address pass-through. If either matters, ask us and we will get it confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions — Lenovo Powered USB-C Travel Hub
How much will it charge my laptop?
Up to 52 W, using a Lenovo 45 W or 65 W USB-C adapter plugged into the hub's USB-C port. The gap between 65 W in and 52 W out is the hub powering itself, which is normal for pass-through hubs. No adapter is supplied — we can quote one.
Can it drive two monitors?
No. Lenovo publishes a maximum of one display. The HDMI and VGA outputs are alternatives so you can connect to whatever the room has, not a dual-screen arrangement.
Is this better than the USB-C Travel Hub Gen 2?
Yes, despite the naming. This hub does 4K at 60 Hz where the Gen 2 does 4K at 30 Hz, and it has power pass-through where the Gen 2 has none at all. The Gen 2 is smaller, lighter and cheaper — it is a different product rather than a newer one.
Will sound come out of the projector over VGA?
No. VGA is a video-only connector — it has no audio pins. Lenovo publishes no audio output on this hub, so plan on a separate 3.5 mm audio cable to the room's sound system, or on using the laptop's own speakers.
Is it still available?
Lenovo's product page for this part number redirects to a category landing page, though Lenovo still publishes firmware for it. Lenovo has issued no end-of-life notice, so we will not declare it discontinued — but ask us to confirm stock before ordering, especially in quantity.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
Lenovo publishes a 1-year CRU warranty. Every unit SourceIT sells also carries local Singapore warranty support and a GST invoice.
