The Fortinet FortiGate 90G (FG-90G) is the top G-series desktop next-generation firewall, built for larger branches and small campuses that need multi-gigabit throughput with full NGFW, SD-WAN and VPN services. It runs FortiOS, Fortinet's converged networking and security operating system.
28 Gbps Firewall, 25 Gbps IPsec VPN
Fortinet rates the FortiGate 90G at 28 Gbps firewall throughput (1518-byte UDP), 4.5 Gbps IPS, 2.5 Gbps NGFW and 2.2 Gbps threat protection, with 25 Gbps of IPsec VPN throughput. It supports up to 3 million concurrent sessions and 124,000 new sessions per second.
10GE Uplinks on RJ45 or SFP+
The FG-90G combines 8 x GE RJ45 ports with 2 x 10GE shared port pairs, each usable as either a 10GE RJ45 or a 10GE SFP+ connection, for fast WAN or FortiSwitch uplinks. A USB 3.0 port and RJ45 console port are provided, and the unit runs from a 12 V DC 3 A adapter (100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz) with a second power input for an optional redundant adapter.
Choose Hardware Only or a UTP Bundle
Buy the appliance on its own, or bundle it with 1, 3 or 5 years of FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP). The UTP subscription covers IPS, Advanced Malware Protection, Application Control, URL, DNS & Video Filtering, Antispam and FortiCare Premium support.

Compatibility & Software Support
What It Is Suited To
Larger branches, small campuses and head offices that need 10GE connectivity and high VPN throughput without moving to a rack-mount appliance. For more ports and dual built-in power supplies, step up to the FortiGate 120G.
Software & Management
Runs FortiOS and is managed through the FortiOS web GUI and CLI. The 10GE ports can serve as FortiLink uplinks, letting the FortiGate act as the switch controller for up to 24 FortiSwitch units, and FortiGate models also manage FortiAP wireless access points from the same interface. Cloud management is available separately as a FortiManagement Cloud subscription; ask us for a quote.
Security Subscriptions
The FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP) bundle adds IPS, Advanced Malware Protection, Application Control, URL, DNS & Video Filtering, Antispam and FortiCare Premium support. Enterprise Protection and individual FortiGuard services are also available on request.
