The Fortinet FortiGate 120G (FG-120G) is a 1U rack-mount G-series next-generation firewall for campus edges, large branches and mid-sized enterprises. It brings NGFW security, SD-WAN and VPN together with high port density and runs FortiOS, Fortinet's converged networking and security operating system.
39 Gbps Firewall, 35 Gbps IPsec VPN
Fortinet rates the FortiGate 120G at 39 Gbps firewall throughput (1518-byte UDP), 5.3 Gbps IPS, 3.1 Gbps NGFW and 2.8 Gbps threat protection, with 35 Gbps of IPsec VPN throughput. It supports up to 3 million concurrent sessions and 140,000 new sessions per second.
30 Ports Including 10GE SFP+
The FG-120G provides 18 x GE RJ45 ports (including dedicated management and HA ports), 8 x GE SFP slots and 4 x 10GE SFP+ FortiLink ports, plus a USB console port and a BLE/reset button, giving plenty of room for fibre uplinks and FortiSwitch stacks.
Built-In Dual Power Supplies
Two redundant AC power supplies (100–240 V AC, 50–60 Hz, 1.5 A max each) keep the firewall running if one supply or circuit fails. Mounting brackets and screws are included for rack installation.
Choose Hardware Only or a UTP Bundle
Buy the appliance on its own, or bundle it with 1, 3 or 5 years of FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP). The UTP subscription covers IPS, Advanced Malware Protection, Application Control, URL, DNS & Video Filtering, Antispam and FortiCare Premium support.

What It Is Suited To
Campus edges, head offices and large branches that need rack-mount hardware, fibre connectivity, redundant power and room to manage a large FortiSwitch and FortiAP estate.
Software & Management
Runs FortiOS and is managed through the FortiOS web GUI and CLI. Four 10GE SFP+ FortiLink ports let the FortiGate act as the switch controller for up to 48 FortiSwitch units, and FortiGate models also manage FortiAP wireless access points from the same interface. Cloud management is available separately as a FortiManagement Cloud subscription; ask us for a quote.
Security Subscriptions
The FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP) bundle adds IPS, Advanced Malware Protection, Application Control, URL, DNS & Video Filtering, Antispam and FortiCare Premium support. Enterprise Protection and individual FortiGuard services are also available on request.
