The Ergotron HX Desk Monitor Arm with HD Pivot (45-647-216) is the version of Ergotron's best-selling heavy-duty arm engineered specifically for deeply curved 1000R displays — panels such as the Samsung Odyssey G9 49″. A curved screen carries its mass further from the VESA plate than a flat one, and the heavy-duty tilt pivot is what keeps it locked in place instead of nodding forward over the course of a shift.

The arm is rated for 28–42 lbs (12.7–19.1 kg) with a monitor chassis depth of 6″–12″ (15–30 cm). Check the minimum, not just the maximum. The HD pivot is calibrated from 28 lbs (12.7 kg) upward. A lighter flat panel belongs on the standard HX Desk Monitor Arm (20–42 lbs) or, lighter still, on an LX Desk Mount Monitor Arm (7–25 lbs).
Tilt is deliberately narrower. The HD pivot gives 20° of total tilt (15° back / 5° forward) against the standard HX pivot's 75° range. That is the trade for holding a heavy curved panel securely — on a screen this large, small tilt corrections are all that is normally required.
