20 kVA of Unity Power Factor Protection in 3U
The Eaton 9SX20KPM is a 20 kVA / 20 kW online double-conversion UPS power module with an output power factor of 1.0, so the full 20 kW is available to real IT load. It is built for Singapore server rooms, comms rooms and edge sites that have outgrown 11 kVA single-phase units but still want a compact rack/tower UPS rather than a floor-standing frame.
Eaton describes it as installable as either a tower or a rack model, taking 3U of rack space with a 438 mm, 19-inch width and a reduced depth suitable for racks down to 800 mm.
Power Module Only — Pair It with Eaton Battery Modules
This listing is the power module: it has no internal battery. Eaton lists the 9SXEBM384RT6U (±192 V) and 9SXEBM480RT6U (±240 V) external battery modules for the 9SX 15/20 kVA, and the battery voltage is adjustable between ±192 V and ±240 V with a 0–13 A adjustable charger (3 hours to 90% with 2 EBMs). Eaton's Singapore price list notes that the EBM must be purchased separately — tell us the runtime you need and we will size and quote the battery string.
Wide Input Window and High Efficiency
The module runs at full load from 160 V to 300 V, with linear derating from 100 V to 160 V, and keeps output within ±1% with under 1% THDv on linear loads. Input power factor is above 0.995 with input current THD of 3% (linear load), which keeps it friendly to generators and building supply.
Efficiency is up to 96% in online mode and up to 98.8% in Eaton ESS mode, cutting heat load and running cost in air-conditioned rooms.
Parallel for Capacity or Redundancy
An integrated parallel card allows up to 3 units in parallel. Combine with the MBP20KPARA 1+1 parallel maintenance bypass for a redundant pair, or with the MBP20KPDU maintenance bypass for single-unit installs with IEC output sockets.

What It Is Suited To
Server rooms, network and comms rooms, CCTV head-ends, lab and light-industrial IT loads up to 20 kW on single-phase 220–240 V output. Size on watts: total the continuous load and leave headroom for growth and inrush.
Monitoring and Shutdown
RS232 and USB 2.0 are built in, with dry contacts and a smart slot for an Eaton Network-M3 card (SNMP/web monitoring and network shutdown) or an INDGW-M2 industrial gateway card. Eaton also lists the EMPDT1H1C2 environmental monitoring probe as an accessory.
Batteries and Bypass
There is no internal battery: plan the 9SXEBM384RT6U or 9SXEBM480RT6U battery modules with the power module. For maintenance without dropping the load, Eaton offers the MBP20KPDU (bypass with IEC output sockets) and MBP20KPARA (1+1 parallel bypass).
