The Eaton 9PX8KIRTNG2 is an 8000 VA / 8000 W online double-conversion UPS from the 9PX Gen2 range, in a 4U rack/tower chassis. For Singapore server rooms, comms rooms and edge sites it regulates voltage and frequency continuously, with a unity power factor so the full kVA rating is usable as kW. Eaton highlights power density of up to 11 kW in 4U and 6 kW in 3U across the range.
Silicon Carbide Efficiency
Eaton uses the latest generation of silicon carbide (SiC) components in the 9PX Gen2 for efficiency of up to 97.2% in online mode, helping to cut energy and cooling costs in a warm Singapore equipment room.
Combo C39 Outlets and Terminal Block Output
Output is via 8 x IEC C39 + 8 x IEC C13 + terminal block in 2 controlled groups, and the input is hardwired to a terminal block (up to 16 mm²). Plan for an electrician to wire the input and, where needed, the output terminal block.
Network Card Included, Scalable Runtime
The "N" Netpack model ships with an Eaton Network-M3 card for web/SNMP monitoring and network shutdown. Runtime can be extended with up to four 9PXEBM240RT3UG2 battery modules, and Eaton's ABM+ battery management provides predictive battery-life information.

What It Is Suited To
The 9PX8KIRTNG2 suits server racks, storage, network cores and critical edge equipment up to 8000 W. Because input is a hardwired terminal block, installation needs a suitably rated dedicated circuit from a licensed electrician.
Monitoring and Shutdown
The included Network-M3 card provides web and SNMP monitoring and works with Eaton Intelligent Power Manager for orderly shutdown of multiple servers and virtualised hosts. USB and RS232 are available for a single host.
Maintenance Bypass
Eaton lists the HotSwap maintenance bypass MBP11KIG2 for the 9PX Gen2, allowing the UPS to be serviced or replaced without powering down the load.
