PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cisco Catalyst 9300 48-Port Gigabit Data, Modular Uplink Managed Switch, Network Advantage (C9300-48T-A) — Enhanced Limited Lifetime Warranty
Stackable enterprise access switch
The Cisco C9300-48T-A is a Catalyst 9300 Series switch with 48 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports and a modular uplink slot. It runs Cisco IOS XE and is supplied with the Network Advantage network stack licence (the -A suffix in the part number).
Modular uplinks
Uplink connectivity is added with a Catalyst 9300 network module, such as the 8 x 10G/1G SFP+ C9300-NM-8X, the 4 x 1G C9300-NM-4G or the 2 x 25G C9300-NM-2Y. Network modules are field-replaceable and hot-swappable.
StackWise-480 and StackPower
Up to eight switches can be stacked over StackWise-480 (480 Gbps stack bandwidth) and managed as one. Cisco StackPower, supported on modular-uplink C9300 models, shares the power supplies in a stack as a common resource.
Redundant power and cooling
The switch ships with a 350W AC (PWR-C1-350WAC-P) power supply in one of two power supply bays; a second supply can be added for redundancy. Three field-replaceable fans provide N+1 cooling redundancy.
x86 CPU, 8 GB memory, 16 GB flash
Cisco specifies an x86 CPU complex with 8 GB DRAM and 16 GB flash, a USB 3.0 SSD port for optional external storage, and AES-256 MACsec for encrypting links between switches.

Compatibility & Software Support
Licensing
The -A suffix means the switch is supplied with the Network Advantage network stack licence. Cisco's ordering guide states that both the network stack licence and a Cisco DNA or Catalyst software subscription licence (Essentials or Advantage, 3, 5 or 7 years) are mandatory at the time of purchase; the subscription is a separate part number. Cisco describes Network Advantage as adding advanced routing, segmentation, multicast, scale and security capabilities to the Network Essentials foundation.
Management
The switch runs Cisco IOS XE and can be managed by CLI, the IOS XE web interface or Cisco Catalyst Center. The Catalyst 9300 data sheet also notes that Catalyst 9300 switches can be migrated to the Meraki software option for cloud management.
Network Modules & Stacking
Catalyst 3850 and Catalyst 9300 network modules fit modular-uplink Catalyst 9300 models; C9300X network modules do not. Data stacking uses STACK-T1 cables (50 cm, 1 m, 3 m) and StackPower uses CAB-SPWR cables.
Lifecycle Status
As of October 2026, Cisco's Catalyst 9300 Series end-of-life notice listing does not include a hardware end-of-sale notice for the C9300-48T; the listed notices cover IOS XE releases, licences and accessories.
Warranty
Sold by SourceIT as a Singapore unit. Cisco states that Catalyst 9300 Series switches come with an Enhanced Limited Lifetime hardware Warranty (E-LLW), including next-business-day delivery of replacement hardware where available and 90 days of 8x5 Cisco TAC support, in its ordering guide. Keep your SourceIT invoice as proof of purchase for warranty claims.
