Entry-level Catalyst Wi-Fi 6
The Cisco Catalyst 9105AXI (C9105AXI-S) is the most compact access point in the Catalyst 9100 Wi-Fi 6 family, designed for small and medium offices, branch sites, classrooms and retail spaces that want enterprise-managed Wi-Fi 6 at a lower client density.
2x2:2 on both bands
Both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios use 2x2 MIMO with two spatial streams. Cisco rates PHY data rates up to 1.488 Gbps (80 MHz on 5 GHz plus 20 MHz on 2.4 GHz), with 20, 40 and 80 MHz channel support.
Wi-Fi 6 efficiency
Uplink/downlink OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS colouring and Target Wake Time improve airtime efficiency in busy spaces and help battery-powered clients, while 802.11a/b/g/n/ac devices continue to connect.
Runs fully on standard PoE
The 9105AXI is powered by 802.3af PoE and delivers full 2x2 operation on both radios at a 1 GbE link, so it works with standard PoE switch ports and the AIR-PWRINJ5= injector.
Small footprint, Bluetooth 5
At 150 x 150 x 30 mm and about 330 g, the AP is discreet on ceilings and walls. An integrated Bluetooth 5 radio supports location and IoT services.
Singapore regulatory domain (-S)
The -S suffix is the Cisco regulatory-domain variant supplied for Singapore.

Controllers and management
Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers (Cisco IOS XE 17.3.1 or later). Cisco's datasheet also lists AireOS 8.10 MR3 on the Cisco 3504, 5520 and 8540 controllers.
Embedded Wireless Controller
Cisco has separately announced end-of-sale for the Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC) software running on Catalyst 9100 Wi-Fi 6 access points: end-of-sale 29 November 2024, last date of support 30 November 2029, with IOS XE 17.15.x as the final supported release. This affects the controller-on-AP capability only, not the access point hardware; Cisco's recommended path is to run the AP in lightweight (CAPWAP) mode with a Catalyst 9800 controller, or move to a Meraki cloud-managed deployment.
Regulatory domain
The -S suffix is the Cisco regulatory-domain variant supplied for Singapore. The regulatory domain fixes the permitted channels and transmit power, so the unit must join a controller configured for the matching country code; Cisco does not support moving an AP to a different regulatory domain.
End-of-Sale notice
Cisco has published the "End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco and Meraki Wi-Fi 6 Indoor Access Points" (announced 30 March 2026), which covers C9105AXI-S. Milestones: End-of-Sale 31 December 2026; Last Ship Date 31 March 2027; End of SW Maintenance Releases 31 December 2027; End of Vulnerability/Security Support 31 December 2031; Last Date of Support 31 December 2031. Cisco names the Cisco Wireless 9171I and 9172I Access Points as the migration product. Units bought before end-of-sale remain covered by Cisco support until the last date of support.
Warranty
Local Singapore unit with local warranty. Cisco's datasheet lists a limited lifetime hardware warranty with 10-day advance replacement for the Catalyst 9100 access points. For warranty claims, keep your SourceIT invoice as proof of purchase.

What the Part Number Covers
C9105AXI-S is the ceiling/wall access point with internal antennas for the -S regulatory domain. Cisco lists the AIR-AP-BRACKET-W4= mounting bracket as a spare, and PoE injectors and controller licensing as separate items; the datasheet does not publish an in-the-box list.
