The VS25 is a hardware device. The Host sits behind the room display; the presenter plugs a Button into their laptop's USB-C or HDMI port and presses it. There is no app to download, no driver to install, no meeting code and no wireless network to join. Because nothing runs on the presenting machine, a visiting client, auditor or contractor is on screen in seconds, and the room behaves identically for Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. For IT that means no software approval process for guests and nothing left behind when they leave.
What Separates the VS25 from the WDC15: BYOM Wireless Conferencing
The WDC15 mirrors a screen. The VS25 runs the meeting. Its Multimedia Hub connects the room's camera, microphone and speakers, and the Button passes them through to the presenter's laptop without a driver, so a Teams, Zoom or Meet call hosted from a personal laptop uses the room's audio and video hardware instead of a laptop webcam. On top of that the VS25 outputs 4K at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2 rather than 4K 30, runs Wi-Fi 6 with WPA3-Enterprise instead of Wi-Fi 5 with WPA3, supports 64 connected devices instead of 16, and adds Cloud DMS management.
The IT Security Argument: No Agent, No Corporate LAN Traffic
Software casting tools install an agent that captures the screen and push that content across the corporate network, which is exactly the pattern security teams object to. The VS25 does neither. Guest machines receive no software, and the Button and Host form their own direct wireless link, so presentation and conferencing traffic does not compete with production traffic on the LAN. Built for Rooms from Huddle Spaces to Boardrooms
With 64 registrable devices, a split-screen key on the Button and TouchBack support for interactive flat panels, one VS25 covers a small huddle room as readily as a large boardroom or training space. The Host carries HDMI out and RJ45, is powered by its own 12 V supply at 15 W, and ships with a Cradle so the Button stays on the table. A U-magnet bolt design secures the Host in place. Swappable USB-C and HDMI plugs mean a mixed laptop estate is served from one room kit, and a worn plug is replaced rather than the transmitter.

Compatibility & Installation
Room installation
The Host connects to the room display, projector or interactive flat panel by HDMI, with DisplayPort 1.2 also supported, and mounts using its U-magnet bolt design. It draws 15 W from its own 12 V adapter and carries an RJ45 port for management access. Two 2 dBi antennas are supplied, plus a Cradle to hold the Button on the meeting table.
BYOM: using the room's camera, microphone and speakers
The included Multimedia Hub connects the room's USB conferencing peripherals. When a presenter connects their Button, those peripherals are passed to their laptop without a driver, so a call hosted in Teams, Zoom or Meet from a personal machine uses the room's audio and video hardware.
What the presenter connects
The Button plugs into the laptop's USB Type-C port, or into HDMI using the included Button HDMI cable. No application, driver, account or network join is required, so Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS behave identically. The side Split Screen Key manages multi-source layouts.
Network and security
Button and Host link directly over Wi-Fi 6 across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, secured with AES128 and WPA3-Enterprise. Presentation traffic does not have to traverse the corporate LAN, and nothing is installed on the presenting device. Cloud DMS provides fleet management.
Adding more presenters
Extra transmitters are supplied as the VS25 / WDC25 Button Kit, which pairs to this Host. Up to 64 devices can be registered.

The WDC10 is the earlier generation: 1080p 60 Hz output over HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi 5, WPA2, 16 devices, and an HDMI Button with USB Type-A for power. It remains a sound choice for a 1080p meeting room. The WDC15 is its 4K, WPA3, TouchBack-capable successor; the VS25 adds wireless conferencing on top. Buttons are not interchangeable between the three systems.
Does presentation traffic go over our corporate network?
No. The Button and Host link directly over Wi-Fi 6 with AES128 and WPA3-Enterprise. The RJ45 port is for management access.
Will it work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes. BYOM is driver-free and application-agnostic: the room peripherals are presented to the laptop, so whichever conferencing application the presenter already uses can select them.
How many people can share one Host?
Up to 64 devices. Each presenter needs their own Button; additional Buttons are supplied as the VS25 / WDC25 Button Kit.
What size of room is it for?
BenQ positions the VS25 for hybrid meetings from huddle rooms through to large rooms, which the 64-device capacity and 4K 60 Hz output support.
