The LW655 runs on a laser light source rated at 20,000 hours in Normal mode and 30,000 hours in ECO. A meeting room used eight hours a day, five days a week, takes about ten years to reach the Normal rating, so lamp replacement disappears from the facilities budget along with the access equipment and the room downtime it requires. Laser reaches full brightness immediately, which matters where rooms are booked back to back, and it holds its colour balance far more consistently over time than a lamp that dims gradually from the day it is fitted.

WXGA (1280x800) is a 16:10 panel, which is a better fit than 16:9 for the documents, spreadsheets and slide decks that fill a meeting room screen - a 16:10 image gives more vertical space for the same screen width. At 4,000 ANSI lumens with a published 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 30-bit colour, the LW655 stays legible with the room lights on, which is the condition a working meeting actually happens in. 1.3x Zoom and Auto Keystone for Retrofits
With a 1.187 to 1.544 throw ratio and 1.3x optical zoom, the LW655 usually fits an existing ceiling mount position rather than requiring a new one - useful when replacing an ageing lamp projector across a floor of rooms. 2D auto keystone corrects +/-40 degrees vertically and +/-40 degrees horizontally for a bracket that is off the screen centre line. At 3.0 kg and 279 x 225 x 121 mm it is small enough for a slim ceiling void, and the published noise figures of 32 dB normal and 29 dB in Eco keep it out of the way of a conversation.
Dual HDMI, LAN Control and Two USB Ports
Two HDMI inputs take a room PC and a guest laptop or video bar without an external switcher. Throw distance and screen size
Throw ratio is 1.187 to 1.544 with 1.3x zoom, so throw distance equals screen width multiplied by that ratio. A 100-inch 16:10 screen is 2.15 metres wide and needs roughly 2.6 to 3.3 metres; a 120-inch 16:10 screen is 2.58 metres wide and needs roughly 3.1 to 4.0 metres; an 80-inch 16:10 screen is 1.72 metres wide and needs roughly 2.0 to 2.7 metres. Projection offset is 110%.
Mounting and alignment
Table and inverted ceiling mounting are both supported, and the 1.3x zoom gives enough latitude to reuse most existing bracket positions on a refresh. 2D auto keystone corrects +/-40 degrees vertically and +/-40 degrees horizontally where the projector cannot sit on the screen centre line.
What it connects to
Two HDMI 1.4a inputs with HDCP 1.4 take a room PC, a laptop or a video bar. A 3.5mm audio input feeds the built-in 15W speaker. Two USB Type-A ports cover service and powering a small device such as a wireless presentation receiver or a streaming stick.
