Online Double Conversion at Unity Power Factor
The Vertiv™ Liebert® GXE GXE3-10KIRT5UXL is a 10000 VA / 10000 W online double-conversion UPS in a 5U rack/tower chassis. With an output power factor of 1.0 the watt rating equals the VA rating, so the full 10kW is available to your load. The inverter delivers a regulated pure sine wave at all times, with no transfer break on mains failure.
Vertiv rates efficiency at up to 94% in online mode and up to 98% in ECO mode, and the UPS accepts a wide 40–70 Hz input frequency without power derating — useful behind generators.
Built for the Edge and Small Server Rooms
Vertiv designed the GXE 6–10 kVA as an essential online UPS for edge computing, server rooms and branch IT. It installs as a tower or in a 19-inch rack (an adjustable 4-post rack mounting kit is included), and the full-colour graphic LCD uses gravity sensing to rotate its display to match the orientation.
Input and output are hardwired to L-N-G terminals, so installation is done by an electrician; the unit has a 70 A input circuit breaker and a maintenance port on the rear panel.
Runtime You Can Extend
Vertiv publishes 3.5 min at full load and 9 min at half load on the internal VRLA batteries. One GXE3-EBC240VRT3U external battery cabinet extends that to 10 min and 26 min, and up to four cabinets can be connected. Internal batteries recharge to 90% in about 3 hours and are hot-swappable and user-replaceable.
Remote Management
USB is standard, with RS232 and remote EPO ports on the rear panel and an IntelliSlot bay for optional Vertiv IS-UNITY network management cards for web/SNMP monitoring and BMS integration.

Electrical Installation
Input and output are hardwired (L-N-G terminals) with a 70 A input breaker, so the UPS needs a dedicated supply circuit and an output distribution (for example a rack PDU) installed by a licensed electrician. SourceIT can quote Vertiv Geist rack PDUs and installation.
Monitoring and Shutdown
USB and RS232 support local shutdown software. For web/SNMP monitoring add an IS-UNITY-SNMP card, or IS-UNITY-DP (03020728) for Modbus/BACnet and environmental sensors.
