TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor AX3000 Outdoor / Indoor Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 Unit (1-Pack)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link AX3000 Outdoor / Indoor Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 Unit, 1-Pack (Deco X50-Outdoor) - 3 Years Local Warranty
A single weather-rated AX3000 mesh unit for the part of a property the indoor nodes never reach - a balcony, a patio, a car porch, a detached outbuilding. It takes 802.3at PoE or mains AC, mounts to a wall or a pole, and runs from -30°C to 60°C. It joins a Deco network as another node rather than standing alone.
Built for Outdoors, Powered Over Ethernet
The unit accepts IEEE 802.3at PoE or 100-240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, so a single Ethernet run to a wall or pole mount can carry both data and power and no outdoor socket is needed. Wall and pole mounting hardware is in the box. TP-Link markets an IP65 weatherproof enclosure but publishes no IP rating row in its specification tables, so IP65 stands as a marketing claim rather than a published specification - ask us before specifying it for a fully exposed position.
A Wide Operating Temperature Range
TP-Link publishes an operating range of -30°C to 60°C and storage from -40°C to 70°C. The high end is the figure that matters in Singapore: a west-facing wall or an unshaded car porch gets hot, and the Deco X50-5G and X50-4G are rated to 40°C only.
AX3000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6
5 GHz at 2402 Mbps and 2.4 GHz at 574 Mbps on 802.11ax, four streams with MU-MIMO and OFDMA, served by two internal antennas. TP-Link publishes coverage of 2,500 sq ft for a single unit and describes it as suiting 1-3 bedroom houses at that pack size, with TP-Link Mesh Technology and optional Ethernet backhaul working together to link Deco units.
Two Gigabit Ports, One of Them the PoE Input
Two gigabit ports per unit, WAN/LAN auto-sensing, one of which carries the PoE input. TP-Link's own footnote notes that only one port can serve as WAN at a time. The second port can feed a wired device outdoors - an outdoor camera or an access point in an outbuilding, for instance.
Lightning and Static Protection Needs Correct Installation
TP-Link is explicit on this point: “Protection against lightning and electro-static discharge may be achieved through proper product setup, grounding and cable shielding. Refer to the instruction manual and consult an IT professional to assist with setting up this product.” Outdoor Ethernet runs in Singapore should be grounded and shielded; we can quote the install.
Ideal For
Extending an existing Deco mesh to a balcony, patio, car porch, garden or detached outbuilding where an indoor node cannot reach and cannot survive the heat. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.

| System Requirements | Not published by TP-Link for this model |
Taken from TP-Link's own Singapore product page for the Deco X50-Outdoor. The transmit-power row is reproduced exactly as TP-Link prints it, including a CE 5 GHz figure of <30 dBm which is higher than the <23 dBm CE figure TP-Link publishes for the indoor Deco X50 and Deco X50-PoE. TP-Link publishes no VPN, beamforming, buttons, USB, processor, memory, weight or system-requirements row for this model, and publishes package contents for the 1-pack only. TP-Link does not tie its device-count figure to a pack size, so none is quoted here. Two further points TP-Link's own page leaves unreconciled: IP65 appears in the marketing copy but in no specification row; and the power row offers PoE or AC while the package contents list an AC power cord and no PoE injector.
Compatibility & Software Support
Set up and managed through the Deco app, joining an existing Deco network as an additional node or running as the router itself. TP-Link publishes no minimum Android or iOS version for this model. HomeShield is included on the free Basic plan.
Router and Access Point modes are published, with IPv4 and IPv6 and Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP or PPTP on the WAN. IPTV covers IGMP proxy, IGMP snooping, bridge and tag VLAN. No VPN server or client row is published for this model.
Powering: the unit accepts 802.3at PoE or mains AC. If you intend to power it over Ethernet, you need an 802.3at injector or PoE switch - the box contains an AC power cord, not a PoE injector.
Wi-Fi 6 features including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM and BSS Color need client support as well. Seamless roaming needs clients supporting 802.11k/v/r.

Frequently Asked Questions - Deco X50-Outdoor (1-Pack)
Is it really weatherproof?
TP-Link markets an IP65 enclosure but publishes no IP rating in its specification tables, so IP65 stands as a marketing claim and not a published specification. For a fully exposed position we would rather confirm with the distributor first - ask us.
Can I power it over Ethernet?
Yes, it accepts IEEE 802.3at PoE. No injector is included; the box ships an AC power cord. We can quote an 802.3at injector or PoE switch with it.
Does it work on its own or does it need other Deco units?
It can run as the router itself or join an existing Deco network as another node. Tell us which Deco models you already run and we will check TP-Link's published compatibility.
Will it cope with a west-facing Singapore wall?
TP-Link rates it for operation from -30°C to 60°C, against 0°C to 40°C on the Deco X50-5G and X50-4G. That headroom is the point of the product. Lightning and static protection still depend on proper grounding and shielded cable, as TP-Link states.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
3 years local replacement warranty. The 2-year outdoor tier in TP-Link Singapore's warranty policy covers the outdoor CAMERA series (VIGI and Tapo); an outdoor mesh unit appears in no exception row and takes the published 3-year default.
