PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link AX3000 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System, 2-Pack (Deco X50) - 3 Years Local Warranty

Two-unit AX3000 dual-band mesh for a whole flat. 5 GHz runs at 2402 Mbps with HE160 and 2.4 GHz at 574 Mbps, each unit carries three gigabit WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports, and TP-Link's UK page publishes coverage of up to 4,500 sq ft for the 2-pack - its Singapore page publishes a 1-pack figure only, up to 2,500 sq ft. A VPN server and client are published for this model.

AX3000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6

5 GHz delivers 2402 Mbps on 802.11ax with HE160; 2.4 GHz adds 574 Mbps for range and older devices. Four streams, 2x2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA let the radio serve several clients inside the same airtime instead of queueing them. TP-Link notes that HE160, OFDMA, MU-MIMO and 1024-QAM all need clients that support them, and that 160 MHz on 5 GHz may be restricted by local regulation.

Three Gigabit Ports on Every Unit

Each node carries three gigabit Ethernet ports, all WAN/LAN auto-sensing, so the unit facing your ONT uses one for the service and leaves two free, and the other node offers three wired ports wherever you place it. Footnote from TP-Link: only one port can serve as WAN at a time.

VPN Server and Client Built In

TP-Link publishes OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP as both server and client on the Deco X50. A VPN server lets you reach your home network from outside it; a client routes traffic out through a provider.

Beamforming and AI-Driven Mesh

TP-Link publishes a beamforming row for the X50, describing it as concentrating signal strength towards clients to extend range. TP-Link also publishes AI-Driven Mesh for this model in its Wi-Fi Range row, describing it as intelligently learning the network environment to provide the ideal Wi-Fi for the home. Nodes link over Wi-Fi or over Ethernet; a wired backhaul frees the 5 GHz radio for client traffic where a flat already has cabling in place.

HomeShield Security and Parental Controls

SPI firewall, access control, real-time IoT protection, malicious site blocking, intrusion prevention, DDoS prevention and a home network scanner, plus per-profile parental controls with a content-filter library, family time, bedtime, off time and weekly reports. The Basic plan is free; TP-Link prices the Pro tier separately.

Ideal For

Singapore HDB flats and condominium units on a 1 Gbps plan where two nodes cover the floor area and gigabit wired ports are enough. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.

Taken from TP-Link's published Deco X50 specifications - its Singapore product page, except for the rows marked above as published on TP-Link's UK page. Only the CE transmit-power figures are published above; the FCC figures printed on the same global page do not apply to Singapore-market units. TP-Link publishes no USB, processor, memory, weight or power-adapter row for this model. TP-Link does not tie its device-count figure to a pack size, so none is quoted here. Two points worth knowing before you order: TP-Link's Singapore support page lists TWO hardware revisions for the Deco X50, V1 and V2, and the only datasheet it offers is the US-market document - ask us to confirm the revision in stock; and TP-Link's Singapore page names this product an “AX3000 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 Unit” while its UK page names the same product a “System”.

Compatibility & Software Support

Set up and managed through the Deco app; TP-Link publishes Android 5.0 or later and iOS 9.0 or later, and notes that the minimum rises as the app is updated. HomeShield is included on the free Basic plan, with a paid Pro tier.

Router mode and Access Point mode are both published, with IPv4 and IPv6 and Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP or L2TP on the WAN. OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP are published as both server and client. IPTV support covers IGMP proxy, IGMP snooping, bridge and tag VLAN, which is what a Singapore ISP set-top box arrangement usually needs.

Wi-Fi 6 features including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM, HE160 and BSS Color need client support as well, and TP-Link notes the 160 MHz channel may be unavailable on 5 GHz in some countries. Seamless roaming needs clients supporting 802.11k/v/r.

Frequently Asked Questions - Deco X50 (2-Pack)

How does the X50 differ from the X50 Pro?

Both are AX3000 on the radio side. For the X50, TP-Link publishes three gigabit ports and two internal antennas per unit, a VPN server and client, and a beamforming row. TP-Link publishes a separate specification for the X50 Pro - ask us and we will compare the two against TP-Link's current published rows before you order.

Which hardware revision will I receive?

TP-Link's Singapore support page lists both V1 and V2 for the Deco X50. Ask us before ordering and we will confirm the revision in stock rather than guess.

Can I use a wired backhaul?

Yes. Nodes link over Wi-Fi or over Ethernet, and a wired hop frees the 5 GHz radio for client traffic where cabling already exists.

Does it handle IPTV?

IGMP proxy, IGMP snooping, bridge and tag VLAN are all published for this model.

What warranty applies in Singapore?

3 years local replacement warranty, under TP-Link Singapore's published 3-year default for Deco mesh systems.
