TP-Link Deco X10-4G 4G+ AX1500 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Gateway (1-Pack)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 4G+ AX1500 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 Gateway, 1-Pack (Deco X10-4G) - 3 Years Local Warranty
A cellular Deco for homes and offices without a fixed line: LTE-Advanced Cat 6 with a nano-SIM slot, AX1500 WiFi 6 covering up to 2,100 ft2/190 m2, three gigabit ports and two external antenna interfaces. Drop in a data SIM and it runs the network on its own, or joins an existing Deco mesh as another node on the same WiFi name.
LTE-Advanced Cat 6, Up to 300 Mbps
TP-Link publishes Cat 6, which it describes as boosting data speeds up to 300 Mbps, over 4G FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28, TDD-LTE B38/B40/B41 and 3G DC-HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B5/B8. Check the bands against your operator and plan - send us both and we will confirm before you order. TP-Link's own footnote applies: actual 4G downlink speeds vary between households, with the service level, real-time network capacity, equipment and client limits and the environment all playing a part.
Nano-SIM and Two External Antenna Interfaces
The slot takes a nano-SIM. Two 3G/4G external SMB antenna interfaces let you fit higher-gain antennas where the unit has to sit somewhere with poor reception, and two SMB-to-SMA-F adapters are supplied for that purpose - the antennas themselves are not included, so budget for them if you expect a marginal signal. Inside the tower body are 2 LTE antennas and 2 WiFi antennas, which TP-Link describes as a signal-boosting array covering more directions and larger areas.
AX1500 WiFi 6 on Both Bands
5 GHz at 1201Mbps (802.11ax) and 2.4 GHz at 300 Mbps (802.11ax), four streams with 2x2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA, covering up to 2,100 ft2/190 m2 from the one unit and supporting connections for up to 120 devices. TP-Link rates WiFi capacity as High and suggests distributing devices across the two bands for best performance. Add further Deco units and they extend the same network rather than replacing it, with roaming between units taking less than 0.3 second.
Three Gigabit Ports and Three Working Modes
Three gigabit WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports, with published modes of 3G/4G, Router and Access Point. The same box therefore works as a standalone LTE gateway, as a fixed-line router, or as an access point behind an existing router. TP-Link's footnote applies: gigabit internet speeds require compatible service plans and equipment, all WAN/LAN ports operate as either WAN or LAN, and only one port can serve as a WAN port at a time.
Parental Controls, Security and Voice Control
An SPI firewall and access control are published, with WPA3 alongside WPA2 and WPA, a guest network on each band, and parental controls covering custom profiles, a professional content filter library, family time, bedtime, off time, time rewards, a family online time ranking, pausing the internet and weekly and monthly reports. Use an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled device to control Deco X10-4G with just your voice.
Ideal For
Rental flats, showflats, site offices, temporary premises and event spaces in Singapore that need a working network before a fixed line exists, and smaller homes wanting an LTE path behind fibre. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.

TP-Link Footnotes
† Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage, and quantity of connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and client location.
‡ Clients need to support 802.11k/v and may require additional setup. Performance may vary depending on the client's device.
△ Use of WiFi 6 and other features including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM, and BSS Color require clients also to support the corresponding features.
* Actual 4G downlink speeds vary between households. Factors affecting 4G speeds include the internet service level, real-time network capacity, equipment and client limitations, and environmental factors.
** Gigabit internet speeds require compatible service plans and equipment. All WAN/LAN ports will operate as either WAN or LAN ports. Only one port can serve as a WAN port at a time.
Specification rows, values and footnotes above are TP-Link's published text for this model on its Singapore product page, together with rows marking specifications TP-Link does not publish for it.
TP-Link does not publish beamforming, processor, memory, weight, power-adapter rating, USB, system requirements, a VPN server or client row, or SMS and voice features for this model, and lists CE and RoHS only.
Compatibility & Software Support
Set up and managed through the Deco app; TP-Link publishes no minimum Android or iOS version for this model. An Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled device can control the Deco X10-4G by voice.
Three working modes are published - 3G/4G, Router and Access Point - with IPv4 and IPv6, and Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP or PPTP on the wired WAN. IPTV covers IGMP proxy, IGMP snooping, bridge and tag VLAN. No VPN server or client row is published for this model; ask us and we will confirm with the distributor if you need it.
SIM and network: a nano-SIM data plan is required and is not supplied. Send us your operator and plan and we will check them against the supported 4G and 3G bands before you order.
Mesh: this gateway runs as a Deco node, so other Deco units join it on one WiFi name and password, with roaming between units taking less than 0.3 second. WiFi 6 features including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM and BSS Color need client support as well, and roaming needs clients that support 802.11k/v, which may require additional setup.

Frequently Asked Questions - Deco X10-4G (1-Pack)
What SIM size does it take?
Nano-SIM. A data plan is required and is not supplied with the gateway.
How fast is the LTE connection?
TP-Link publishes LTE-Advanced Cat 6, which it describes as up to 300 Mbps. Actual 4G downlink speeds vary between households with the service level, real-time network capacity, equipment and client limitations and environmental factors.
How many devices can it handle?
TP-Link publishes connections for up to 120 devices, and rates WiFi capacity as High, suggesting you distribute devices across the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands for best performance. Actual throughput and the number of connected devices are not guaranteed and vary with network conditions and client limitations.
Do I get external antennas?
No. The box includes two SMB-to-SMA adapters for the two external SMB antenna interfaces, but no antennas. We can quote them if reception at the intended position is weak.
Can I add more Deco units later?
Yes. It runs as a Deco node, so further Deco units join the same WiFi name and password, linked by TP-Link Mesh Technology with optional Ethernet backhaul. Roaming between units takes less than 0.3 second, and clients need to support 802.11k/v.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
3 years local replacement warranty. 4G gateways appear in no exception row in TP-Link Singapore's warranty policy and take the published 3-year default.
