Socomec NETYS PE 850VA Line-Interactive UPS
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Socomec NETYS PE 850VA/480W USB Line-Interactive UPS (NPE-0850) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Cost-Effective Battery Backup for Desktops, POS and Small Networks
The Socomec NETYS PE NPE-0850 is a 850 VA / 480 W line-interactive UPS that Socomec positions as practical, cost-effective protection for SOHO and point-of-sale applications. It keeps a PC, monitor, router, POS terminal or small network cabinet running through short outages and gives connected equipment time to shut down cleanly instead of dropping off without warning.
Automatic Voltage Regulation for Brownouts and Voltage Swings
The built-in AVR function corrects under- and over-voltage without switching to battery, so everyday supply fluctuations are handled while the battery is kept in reserve for a real power cut. Socomec specifies a 140–300 V input voltage range on this model, with 50/60 Hz auto-sensing. On battery the NETYS PE delivers a 230 V ±10% step-wave output.
4 x IEC C13 Outlets and Data-Line Protection
Output is on 4 x IEC C13 sockets with an IEC C14 input, so standard IEC leads for PCs, monitors and network gear plug straight in. An integrated data-line suppressor protects a network line passing through the UPS.
USB Monitoring and Clear Status Alarms
Front-panel status indicators and distinct audible alarms (battery mode, low battery, overload, battery replacement, UPS fault) make status clear at a glance. A USB port connects to a PC running Socomec's LOCAL VIEW software for local UPS monitoring and automatic shutdown.

Compatibility & Software Support
What It Is Suited To
The NPE-0850 suits a single workstation, a POS counter, a router and switch, a small NAS or a CCTV recorder. Add up the continuous watts of everything you plan to connect and keep the total comfortably under 480 W — the watt rating, not the VA rating, is the limit.
Software
Connect the USB port to a PC running Socomec LOCAL VIEW for local monitoring and unattended shutdown. The NETYS PE has no network-card slot; for SNMP monitoring look at the Socomec NETYS PR or NETYS RT ranges.
Outlets
All outputs are IEC C13. Equipment with a BS 1363 (Type G) plug needs an IEC C14 lead or an IEC-input power strip — ask us if you need one quoted.
Runtime
Backup time depends on load, battery age and temperature. Socomec does not publish a single runtime figure that holds across loads, so send us your load in watts and we will size it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions — Socomec NPE-0850
What is the difference between VA and watts?
VA is apparent power; watts is the real power your equipment draws, and it is the watt rating that limits the load. The NPE-0850 is rated 480 W.
Is the output a pure sine wave?
No. In battery mode the NETYS PE produces a step-wave output, which suits typical PCs, monitors and network equipment. For equipment with active-PFC power supplies that need a pure sine wave, consider the Socomec ITYS online range.
Does it have a network card slot or SNMP?
No. The NETYS PE communicates over USB only.
Will my equipment plug in directly?
The outputs are 4 x IEC C13. BS 1363 (Type G) plugs need an IEC C14 lead or an IEC-input power strip.
How long do the batteries last?
Socomec quotes an expected battery life of 3–5 years; keeping the room at 15–25 °C gives the best battery life.
What warranty do I get?
2 years local warranty in Singapore, supplied by SourceIT with a GST invoice.
