PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Poly Voyager Surround 80 MS Stereo Wireless Bluetooth Headset (8G7U0AA) - Local Warranty
Poly Voyager Surround 80 MS Premium Stereo ANC Bluetooth Headset
The Poly Voyager Surround 80 MS (220117-01 / 8G7U0AA) is a boomless, over-ear stereo Bluetooth headset built around 40 mm drivers and a ten-microphone array. It is the flagship personal headset in the Poly Voyager line for hybrid workers who move between a Singapore office desk, a noisy cafe and a home study, and it is finished in carbon fibre with artificial-leather ear cushions and an ergonomic gap at the apex of the headband to relieve pressure points.
Hybrid Adaptive ANC with Transparency Mode
Four of the ten microphones drive hybrid active noise cancelling, which HP ships with three settings – Adaptive (default), Standard and Off. Transparency mode lets ambient sound back in with two settings, Environment (default) and Speech, so you can hear an announcement or a colleague without lifting the headset. SoundGuard DIGITAL provides acoustic protection on the receive side.
Six Boomless Microphones for Clear Transmit Audio
There is no boom arm. Six dedicated transmit microphones with noise cancellation isolate your voice, so the headset looks as at home in a client meeting as it does on a call. HP rates microphone sensitivity at −37 dBFS with a 20 Hz to 16 kHz bandwidth, and smart sensors answer a call when you put the headset on and pause media when you take it off.
21 Hours of Talk Time and a One-Hour Charge
A 1,100 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 21 hours of talk time or up to 24 hours of listening time, and recharges in approximately one hour. Touch controls handle volume, play/pause and track skip, with a programmable touch control for your own shortcut, while an online indicator light tells the room you are on a call.
Certified for Microsoft Teams, Managed by Poly Lens
HP lists this 8G7U0AA variant as Microsoft Teams certified (with a dedicated Teams button); Google Meet certified. The box includes the BT700 Bluetooth USB-C adapter, a USB-C to USB-A adapter and a USB-C to 3.5 mm audio cable, so it connects to almost anything. It carries the TCO Certified ecolabel, and HP publishes a total product carbon footprint of 20 kg CO₂e. Supplied by SourceIT Singapore with local warranty and a GST invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions — Poly Voyager Surround 80
What is the difference between the Voyager Surround 80 MS and the UC version?
The hardware is identical. The difference is the firmware build and what HP certifies. This MS build is Microsoft Teams certified with a dedicated Teams button, and HP also lists Google Meet certification; Zoom certification is not listed for this SKU. See the Voyager Surround 80 UC (8G7T9AA) for the other build.
Is the Surround 80 the right headset for an open-plan office or for travel?
Both. Hybrid ANC with an adaptive setting handles the constant hum of an open-plan floor or an aircraft cabin, while transparency mode with its Environment and Speech settings lets sound back in when you need to hear a colleague or an announcement. The online indicator light also signals to people nearby that you are on a call.
How does the Surround 80 compare with the Voyager Focus 2?
The Voyager Focus 2 keeps a traditional noise-cancelling boom microphone, which many contact centres prefer for maximum transmit isolation. The Surround 80 is boomless, using six microphones instead, which looks far better on camera and in client-facing settings. If you also want a headset without ANC at a lower price point, the Voyager 4320 UC Stereo is the boom-microphone alternative.
What is the difference between the Voyager Surround 80 and the Surround 85?
Per HP, the only difference is that the Voyager Surround 85 UC includes a wireless NFC charging stand with an LED charge-status indicator. Headset weight, dimensions, microphones, ANC and battery figures are the same across both models.
Does it work with a laptop that only has USB-A ports?
Yes. The bundled BT700 adapter is USB-C, and HP supplies a USB Type-C to USB Type-A adapter in the box, so the headset works on older desktops and legacy docking stations without buying anything extra.
How long does the battery last?
HP rates the 1,100 mAh battery at up to 21 hours of talk time or up to 24 hours of listening time, with a full charge taking approximately one hour. HP does not publish a fast-charge figure for this model.
Can IT manage the ANC and transparency settings centrally?
Yes. The Surround 80 is supported in Poly Lens Desktop and Poly Lens Cloud, so IT can push firmware, set ANC and transparency behaviour, configure the programmable touch control, and monitor device inventory and health across a deployment.
Does this headset come with a Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every Poly Voyager Surround 80 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
