Green Laser Presenter for Large Rooms and Flat-Panel Displays
The Logitech R800 (910-001358) is the professional end of the range. Its Class 3R green laser at 500–515 nm is, in Logitech's own words, easy to see on flat panel displays, projection screens and in brightly lit rooms — the one presenter here that stays visible on the large LED and LCD walls now standard in Singapore boardrooms, auditoriums and hotel function rooms where a red pointer simply disappears.
LCD Display with Countdown Timer and Silent Vibration Alerts
An integrated LCD shows a settable timer, battery status and signal strength (RSSI). Set your slot length and the R800 vibrates silently at 5 minutes, 2 minutes and 0 minutes remaining, then counts upward if you run over. Nobody in the audience sees it. For conference speakers, trainers and anyone presenting to a hard stop, that alone justifies the model.
30 m Wireless Range for Auditoriums and Ballrooms
The 2.4 GHz cordless link runs up to 30 m (100 ft) — twice the R400's range — so you can work a full stage or walk the aisles of a large hall without losing the slides. Pressing a slide, show-launch or black-screen button displays signal strength on the LCD, letting you verify coverage before the room fills.
Seven Dedicated Buttons, Plug and Play, Carrying Case Included
Laser, previous, next, F5/ESC, blank screen, set timer and start/pause timer are all discrete buttons, so nothing is buried in a mode menu. No software is required — plug in the storable USB receiver and present. The remote is 134 x 38 x 28 mm and 71 g with batteries, and ships with a carrying case and two AAA cells rated for 40 presentations.

Logitech's current R800 specification lists Windows 10/11 or later; the original datasheet covered Windows XP, Vista and 7. Logitech does not publish macOS, ChromeOS or Linux support for the R800, so we do not claim it. For published cross-platform support including macOS and iOS, use the R500s instead.
The R800 does not appear in Logitech's list of Logi Options+ supported presenters — it is designed to run entirely without software, with the timer configured on the remote itself.

Why choose a green laser over a red one?
Visibility. Logitech states the R800's green laser is easy to see on flat panel displays, projection screens and in brightly lit rooms, whereas it advises that red laser light is reflected on LCD and plasma screens, making it less visible. If your rooms are built around large LED or LCD panels rather than projectors, the R800 is the only model in this range that will actually show a pointer.
How does the timer work?
Set your slot length on the remote and the R800 vibrates silently at 5 minutes, 2 minutes and 0 minutes remaining, then begins counting upward so you know how far over you are. The LCD shows the timer, battery status and signal strength. No software or app is involved.
How does the R800 compare with the R400 and R500s?
The R800 is the only one with a green laser, an LCD, a timer and vibration alerts, and it has the longest range at 30 m versus 20 m for the R500s and 15 m for the R400. The R500s is the one to choose if you need Bluetooth or macOS support; the R400 is the value option for projector rooms.
What room size is it suited to?
Large ones — auditoriums, ballrooms, town halls and lecture theatres where you need up to 30 m of range and a pointer that holds up under bright house lighting. In a small huddle room it is more presenter than you need.
Does it need software or drivers?
No. The R800 is plug-and-play: insert the USB receiver and it works, with the timer configured on the remote. It is not one of the presenters listed for Logi Options+, and Logitech's old Presentation software is no longer maintained.
Will it work with a USB-C-only laptop or a Mac?
The receiver is USB-A, so a USB-C laptop needs an adapter or dock. Logitech publishes Windows support only for the R800. If you present from a Mac, an iPad or a Chromebook, order the R500s, which Logitech publishes for macOS, iOS, ChromeOS, Linux and Android as well as Windows.
