PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Logitech R400 Red Laser Wireless Presenter (910-001361) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Plug-and-Play Wireless Presenter for Meeting Rooms and Lecture Theatres
The Logitech R400 (910-001361) is the workhorse presenter: plug the 2.4 GHz USB receiver into a laptop and advance slides immediately, with nothing to install and nothing to configure. For Singapore corporate training rooms, school and polytechnic lecture halls and event AV kits, it is the model to buy in quantity — simple enough that any presenter can pick it up cold.
Class 2 Red Laser Pointer and Five Dedicated Buttons
A Class 2 visible red laser at 640–660 nm highlights figures on projection screens, and five purpose-made buttons cover laser, previous, next, F5/ESC to start or exit the slide show, and blank screen. Everything is findable by touch in a darkened room, without a mode switch or a display to read. Note Logitech's own guidance: red laser light reflects on LCD and plasma panels, so it shows up less well on flat-panel displays — for those rooms, consider the green-laser R800.
15 m Wireless Range with a Receiver That Stores Inside
The 2.4 GHz cordless link runs to 15 m (50 ft), enough to walk the front of a typical boardroom or seminar room. The nano receiver stows inside the remote itself when you pack up, which is the single biggest reason presenters survive a shared AV drawer. At 115.5 x 37.8 x 27.4 mm and 57 g with batteries, it sits comfortably in one hand for a full session.
13-Month Battery Life on Two AAA Cells
Logitech rates the R400 at 13 months on two AAA batteries, with a battery status LED and an on/off switch so nothing drains in transit. There is no charging dock to lose and no proprietary cell — when the batteries go, any AAA from the stationery cupboard gets the room running again.

Logitech does not publish macOS, ChromeOS or Linux support for the R400, so we do not claim it. If you need a presenter with published macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, iOS and Android support, the R500s is the model to choose.
The legacy Logitech Presentation software and Logitech Options are no longer maintained by Logitech. The R400 does not appear in Logitech's list of Logi Options+ supported presenters, which names Spotlight and R500 — the R400 is designed to work without any software.

Frequently Asked Questions — Logitech R400
Which room is the R400 right for?
Rooms using a projector and screen, up to about 15 m of walking distance from the laptop. The red laser is highly visible on projection screens. In rooms built around large LCD or LED flat panels, Logitech notes that red laser light reflects and shows up poorly — that is what the green-laser R800 is designed for.
How does the R400 compare with the R500s and the R800?
The R400 is the simple, plug-and-play option at 15 m. The R500s adds Bluetooth Low Energy (so it works on laptops with no USB-A port), 20 m of range, published macOS/ChromeOS/Linux/iOS/Android support and Logi Options+ customisation. The R800 adds a green laser, 30 m of range, an LCD and a countdown timer with silent vibration alerts.
Do I need to install any software or drivers?
No. The R400 is plug-and-play: insert the USB receiver and the remote works. Logitech's older Presentation software is no longer maintained, and the R400 is not one of the presenters listed for Logi Options+ — none of that affects normal slide control.
Will it work with a laptop that only has USB-C ports?
Only through a USB-A adapter or dock, since the R400 receiver is USB-A. If your fleet has moved to USB-C only, the R500s is the better choice because it also connects over Bluetooth Low Energy with no receiver at all.
What happens if the receiver is lost?
Logitech publishes two replacement receiver models for this remote — C-U0005 for remote model R-R0004 and C-U0014 for remote model R-R0008 — and they are not interchangeable. Check the model number printed inside the battery compartment before ordering. This is a common issue in shared AV kits, which is why the R400 stores its receiver inside the remote.
How long do the batteries last?
Logitech rates 13 months on two AAA alkaline cells, with a battery status LED to warn you before a session. There is no rechargeable pack, so replacements are simple to source.
Is the R400 covered by warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every R400 sold by SourceIT comes with 2 years local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
