This ThinkPad P16s Gen 5 combines the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H (16 cores / 16 threads, up to 4.7GHz, 18MB Intel Smart Cache) with an NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell 6GB GDDR7 laptop GPU for CAD, BIM and design applications. Lenovo rates the integrated NPU at up to 50 TOPS for on-device AI.

Upgradable LPCAMM2 Memory and a PCIe 5.0 SSD

32GB LPCAMM2 LPDDR5X runs at 7467 MT/s in a single replaceable module, so the system can later go up to 96GB without soldered-memory limits. Storage is a 512GB PCIe 5.0 x4 Performance NVMe SSD with Opal 2.0 encryption.

A Display and Camera Built for Long Days

The large 16-inch WUXGA 1920 x 1200 16:10 IPS panel is rated at 400 nits with an anti-glare finish, and the full-size keyboard adds a numeric keypad for spreadsheet and data work. Compatibility & Fit

Memory Upgrades Use LPCAMM2

This model uses a single LPCAMM2 memory module, not SO-DIMMs. To upgrade beyond 32GB, replace the module with a larger LPCAMM2 (Lenovo lists up to 96GB). Standard DDR5 SO-DIMM laptop memory does not fit.

Docking

The two Thunderbolt 4 ports accept USB-C, USB4 and Thunderbolt docks such as the ThinkPad USB4 Dock 5000 (40BF0100UK). That dock charges at 65W with its included 100W adapter; for full-speed charging under heavy GPU load, use the laptop's own adapter or a higher-wattage dock.

Use a Nano-Slot Lock

The chassis has a Kensington Nano Security Slot (2.5 x 6 mm). Standard Kensington MicroSaver locks do not fit; choose a NanoSaver lock.

Battery Note

The distributor build sheet lists an integrated 75Wh battery, while Lenovo's specification book lists 60Wh or 90Wh battery options for the P16s Gen 5 (Intel). Ask us to confirm the fitted battery capacity before ordering if runtime is critical.
