Jabra Engage 40 Stereo Wired USB Headset for Contact Centres
The Jabra Engage 40 Stereo UC Inline Link Wired USB Headset USB-C is a purpose-built contact-centre headset that puts call quality and agent wellbeing ahead of gadgetry. At just 63 g the headset all but disappears on the head across a full shift, and the noise-isolating on-ear fit with maze-patterned earcups keeps the row of desks around you out of the conversation. This is a wired USB device — no battery, no dongle, no pairing, and nothing to go flat at the busiest hour of the day.
Dual MEMS Microphones and Jabra BalancedVoice for Clear Customer Calls
Two MEMS microphones on a noise-cancelling boom arm work with Jabra BalancedVoice processing to lift your voice cleanly out of an open contact-centre floor. Microphone response runs 100 Hz - 14,000 Hz at -38 dBV/Pa, tuned for speech intelligibility so customers hear words rather than room. On the listening side, 20 mm speakers cover 50 Hz - 20,000 Hz in music mode and switch to a 100 Hz - 14,000 Hz speech profile on calls.
Jabra SafeTone 2.0 Hearing Protection for Full-Shift Agents
Agents on the phone all day need more than volume limiting. Jabra SafeTone 2.0 combines PeakStop 105 sudden-sound protection with average-noise-exposure control, meeting EU Noise at Work, G616 and OSHA requirements. For Singapore contact centres running long shifts under workplace safety and health obligations, this is a documented compliance feature rather than a marketing line.
Inline Link Call Control and Built-In Busylight
This variant ships with the Inline Link controller, putting answer and end, volume, mute and the busylight toggle on the cable within easy reach — no hunting through a softphone window mid-call. The built-in busylight tells colleagues at a glance that you are on a call. Deployed at scale, Jabra Engage+ gives supervisors real-time call insight, and Jabra Xpress handles firmware and settings across the whole fleet.
Certified, Supported and Warranted in Singapore
This is the UC variant, optimised for all leading unified communications platforms rather than tied to one. The Engage 40 is also certified for Cisco, Unify, Zoom, Google Meet and Amazon Chime, works with Amazon Connect, Genesys Cloud CX and NICE CXone, and is Works With Chromebook certified. Every unit sold by SourceIT Pte Ltd ships with 2 years local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice, supported locally rather than through an overseas RMA queue.

Frequently Asked Questions — Jabra Engage 40
What is the difference between the MS and UC versions of the Engage 40?
The MS variant (part numbers 4093-413-xxx and 4099-413-xxx) is certified for Microsoft Teams and surfaces Teams notifications on the headset LEDs. The UC variant (4093-419-xxx, 4099-419-xxx and 4099-410-xxx) is optimised for all leading UC platforms including Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco and Amazon Chime. The audio hardware is identical — choose MS if Teams is your primary platform, UC if it is not.
Should I choose Mono or Stereo?
Mono covers one ear at 45 g and leaves the other ear free, which is what most contact centres pick so agents can hear a supervisor or a colleague at the next desk. Stereo covers both ears at 63 g and isolates far better, which suits noisy open-plan floors and agents who need to concentrate. Both use the same dual-MEMS boom arm and the same SafeTone 2.0 hearing protection.
Does the Engage 40 have Active Noise Cancellation, and does it need charging?
No on both counts, and neither is a drawback for its job. The Engage 40 uses a passive noise-isolating fit plus noise reduction on the call rather than active noise cancellation — if you need true ANC, look at the Jabra Evolve2 50. It is a wired USB headset with no battery, so it never needs charging and can never run flat mid-shift.
What does the Inline Link do, and do I need it?
The Inline Link is a small controller on the cable carrying answer/end, volume, mute and busylight. It makes call handling physical rather than on-screen, which matters when an agent is typing in a CRM. The 4099-410-xxx variants omit it for a cleaner, cheaper deployment where the softphone handles call control.
How does the Engage 40 compare to the Engage 50 II and the Evolve2 40 SE?
The Engage 50 II is the step up within the contact-centre range, adding a three-microphone digital array and deeper Engage+ analytics. The Evolve2 40 SE is the office-focused equivalent: heavier and more padded, aimed at knowledge workers rather than full-shift agents. The Engage 40 is the lightest of the three and the one built specifically for all-day phone work.
Does it come with local warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every Engage 40 sold by SourceIT comes with 2 years local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
