What the configuration name means. Ergotron's single, double and triple describe how many drawers sit side by side within one module, not how many are stacked: single gives one large area, double gives two medium drawers, triple gives three small ones, all in the same module width. "Tall" changes the height of the row rather than the number of drawers — Ergotron documents up to three tall rows against up to five standard rows on an SV43.

Primary versus supplemental. This is a primary module: Ergotron describes it as upgrading a cart that has no drawers. Supplemental drawers then hang beneath it to add capacity. If your cart already has a drawer module and you simply want more storage under it, you need a supplemental drawer instead — not this part.

LCD cart or laptop cart — order by the right one. Ergotron sells this drawer in two part numbers, one for LCD carts and one for laptop carts, and publishes no explanation of what differs between them: their descriptions are identical word for word. The split exists only on primary drawers, which mount to the cart column, so the difference is most likely in that column interface — but Ergotron does not say so, and we will not state it as fact. What we will say plainly is: order the part number matching your cart type, and if you are unsure which you have, send us the cart part number and we will check.

The row-count trade-off worth knowing before you buy. Ergotron publishes the cost of extra drawer rows on an SV43 in lost height adjustment: 0–2 rows leaves 20" (51 cm) of travel, 3 rows leaves 16" (41 cm), 4 rows leaves 12" (30 cm) and 5 rows leaves 8" (20 cm). On a sit-stand cart shared between staff of different heights, that is the specification that decides whether the cart still works ergonomically after the drawers go on.

What Ergotron does not publish. No drawer dimensions, no weight capacity, no materials, no colour and no box contents for any part number in this matrix — we checked all 35. What does "Single Tall" mean on this drawer?

Does this drawer lock?

The locking belongs to the cart, not to the drawer module. SV43 and SV44 carts use an auto-locking drawer system with PIN access — SV43 via StyleLink (up to 1,000 users with the software, 100 without) and SV44 via eKinnex — with an interlock that allows only one drawer open at a time and re-locks after 15 seconds. Ergotron publishes no key or key count for any drawer in this range.

What are the drawer's internal dimensions and how much will it hold?

Ergotron publishes neither, for any part number in this 35-SKU matrix. If your configuration depends on a dimension or a load figure, ask us and we will request it from Ergotron rather than quote a distributor's number.

Can I add this to a cart already in service?

Yes — retrofit is the stated purpose. Ergotron notes that drawers can be added or removed as needs change, and warns that adding drawers may reduce the cart's total height adjustment. On an SV43 that cost is published: 20" of travel at 0–2 rows, falling to 8" at 5 rows.

How many drawer rows can the cart take?
