Ultrawide and curved displays. The published limit is weight and diagonal, not aspect ratio. Because this mount has only 40° of pan and sits close to the wall, a very wide panel will present its edges at a sharper angle to off-axis viewers — if the room needs the screen turned to face different seating positions, the LX HD Wall Mount Swing Arm with its 360° pan is the better fit.

No vertical lift and no extension. This mount tilts, pans 40° and rotates. It does not raise, lower or swing out. Choose it deliberately for the low profile.
Wall type — read this before ordering. Ergotron's installation instruction for the LX HD range is explicit: the wall structure must be capable of supporting four times the total weight of the mounted equipment. With a 50 lb (22.7 kg) display that means a structure rated for roughly 200 lbs (91 kg). Ergotron documents two approved surfaces: a wood stud, using M8 × 80 mm bolts, and solid concrete, drilled to a depth of at least 3-1/8″ (80 mm). Most Singapore commercial and residential walls are reinforced concrete or solid block, which suits the concrete method — but the anchor must land in solid concrete, not in mortar joints or render, and a plasterboard partition is not a suitable substrate on its own.
