The tall pole version of the Ergotron LX Desk Monitor Arm swaps the standard 20 cm pole for a 34 cm pole, lifting your display significantly higher above the worksurface. That extra headroom matters for taller users, for sit-stand desks where the screen needs to travel further, and for anyone who has been propping a monitor on books to reach eye level. Combined with 33 cm (13 in) of height adjustment on the arm itself, it gives one of the widest vertical positioning ranges of any single-monitor desk arm.

Compatibility & Fit
The Ergotron LX Desk Monitor Arm, Tall Pole mounts a single display of up to 34 inches weighing between 3.2 kg and 11.3 kg (7-25 lbs). It attaches using the industry-standard VESA FDMI MIS-D pattern, so it fits any monitor with 100 x 100 mm or 75 x 75 mm mounting holes. Monitors that use a proprietary pattern, or none at all, will need a VESA adapter plate from the display manufacturer before mounting.
Two mounting methods are supported. The included two-piece desk clamp fits desk edges from 8 mm to 51 mm thick, which covers almost every office desk and workstation in Singapore. The grommet mount, supplied with the polished aluminium 45-295-026 and available separately for the white and matte black finishes, passes through an existing cable hole in worksurfaces 11 mm to 41 mm thick and is the neater option for shared benching. Confirm your desk has clearance behind the mounting point for the 34 cm pole.
Ultrawide and curved displays are supported as long as their weight stays within the 11.3 kg limit and their VESA pattern matches. Because a wide panel places its mass further from the pivot, mount it centrally and re-tension the arm after fitting. Note that when the arm carries more than 20 lbs, the lower end of the vertical lift range is reduced by up to 114 mm (4.5 in) per Ergotron's dimensional data.

What is the difference between the tall pole version and the standard LX Desk Monitor Arm?
Only the pole. The tall pole models (45-295-026, 45-537-216, 45-537-224) use a 34 cm pole; the standard LX Desk Monitor Arm (45-241-026, 45-241-224, 45-490-216) uses a 20 cm pole. Weight capacity, display size, lift, tilt, pan, rotation and extension are identical across both.
Which finishes are available and do they differ in specification?
Three: polished aluminium (45-295-026), matte black (45-537-224) and white (45-537-216). The mechanical specifications are the same. The only functional difference is in the box - the polished aluminium version ships with the grommet mount included, while the white and matte black versions ship with the desk clamp only and take the grommet mount as a separate accessory.
What size and weight of monitor does it take?
Displays up to 34 inches diagonal weighing 3.2 kg to 11.3 kg (7-25 lbs). There is a minimum as well as a maximum: a monitor lighter than 3.2 kg may not have enough mass for the Constant Force mechanism to hold position smoothly.
Will it fit my desk, and do I need a grommet hole?
The supplied two-piece clamp fits desk edges 8-51 mm thick and needs no drilling. If you prefer to mount through an existing cable hole, the grommet option handles worksurfaces 11-41 mm thick. Either method works; the clamp is faster to install and the grommet is tidier.
Does my monitor need a VESA mount?
Yes. The arm uses the VESA FDMI MIS-D pattern in either 100 x 100 mm or 75 x 75 mm. Most business monitors include one of these. If your display has no VESA holes, you will need an adapter bracket from the monitor manufacturer before it can be mounted.
Can I add a second monitor later?
