Bank-Level Power Monitoring over the Network
The Eaton EHMIGU23D is a Metered Input horizontal rack PDU from Eaton's Rack PDU G4 range. It mounts in 3U of a standard 19-inch rack and feeds 36 outlets (18 x IEC C13 + 18 x IEC C39). Eaton describes Metered Input models as giving bank-level monitoring without outlet-level control — ideal when you need to watch load and capacity remotely without paying for per-outlet switching.

One PDU, Many Power Feeds: Universal Input
This is a universal-input (UPDU) model with a UTG 8-pin inlet. Eaton lists it as compatible with 17 different interchangeable input cables (sold separately) covering 15 plug types, from single-phase through three-phase, for 5–23 kW depending on the cable. Choose the cable that matches your rack feed today, and swap it if your power changes — without replacing the PDU.
Secure Gigabit Networking
Eaton's Rack PDU G4 range brochure lists gigabit Ethernet, a hot-swappable G4 network module, network cascading of up to 32 PDUs through one Ethernet port, and secure remote access via web browser, SNMP or MQTT plus a RESTful API. Security features include a zero-trust architecture with hardware root of trust and secure boot, a user-configurable firewall with IP whitelisting, and zero-touch provisioning; firmware updates are free without a support contract.
C39 Outlets That Take C14 or C20 Plugs
Eaton's C39 outlet accepts either a C14 or a C20 plug, so you can mix standard servers and switches with higher-power C20-corded equipment. The range is also compatible with P-Lock and P-Lock Lite locking cords.

What It Is Suited To
The EHMIGU23D suits IT equipment with IEC C14 or C20 power cords — rack servers, storage, switches, routers and firewalls — in racks where a horizontal PDU is preferred. Keep the total connected load within the PDU's rating and the rating of the circuit that feeds it.
Monitoring and Integration
Manage the PDU from a web browser, or bring it into an existing NMS, BMS or DCIM platform over SNMP, MQTT or the RESTful API. Monitoring is at bank level; there is no outlet-level control.
Input Cable and Supply
Universal-input models take an interchangeable input cable (sold separately) on the UTG 8-pin inlet — Eaton lists 17 cable options with 15 plug types. The cable you choose sets the phase, current and power rating (5–23 kW). Tell us your rack feed (e.g. single-phase or three-phase IEC 60309 socket) and we will quote the matching Eaton cable. Any new socket should be installed by a licensed electrician.
