PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cisco Catalyst 9300L 48-Port Gigabit Data, 4x 1G SFP Managed Switch, Network Essentials (C9300L-48T-4G-E) — Enhanced Limited Lifetime Warranty
Fixed-uplink Catalyst 9300L
The Cisco C9300L-48T-4G-E is a Catalyst 9300L Series switch with 48 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports and 4 x 1G SFP fixed uplinks. It runs Cisco IOS XE and is supplied with the Network Essentials network stack licence (the -E suffix in the part number).
Built-in uplinks
The uplink ports are built into the chassis, so no network module is needed. Cisco rates the switch at 104 Gbps switching capacity and 77.38 Mpps forwarding rate.
StackWise-320 stacking
With the optional C9300L stack kit (two stack adapters and a 50 cm cable), up to eight Catalyst 9300L switches can be stacked over StackWise-320 (320 Gbps). StackPower is supported only on modular-uplink C9300 and C9300X models, not on the 9300L.
Redundant power and cooling
The switch ships with a 350W AC (PWR-C1-350WAC-P) power supply in one of two power supply bays; a second supply can be added for redundancy. Three field-replaceable fans provide N+1 cooling redundancy.
x86 CPU, 8 GB memory, 16 GB flash
Cisco specifies an x86 CPU complex with 8 GB DRAM and 16 GB flash, a USB 3.0 SSD port for optional external storage, and AES-256 MACsec for encrypting links between switches.

Compatibility & Software Support
Licensing
The -E suffix means the switch is supplied with the Network Essentials network stack licence. Cisco's ordering guide states that both the network stack licence and a Cisco DNA or Catalyst software subscription licence (Essentials or Advantage, 3, 5 or 7 years) are mandatory at the time of purchase; the subscription is a separate part number. Cisco describes Network Essentials as providing foundational Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, automation, visibility and security capabilities.
Management
The switch runs Cisco IOS XE and can be managed by CLI, the IOS XE web interface or Cisco Catalyst Center. The Catalyst 9300 data sheet also notes that Catalyst 9300 switches can be migrated to the Meraki software option for cloud management.
Uplinks & Stacking
The 9300L has fixed uplinks and no network module slot. Stacking requires the optional C9300L stack kit, which uses STACK-T3 cables; 9300L switches stack only with other 9300L switches over StackWise-320. Cisco announced end-of-sale for the original C9300L-STACK-KIT in May 2025; the ordering guide lists C9300L-STACK-KIT2 with the same contents.
Lifecycle Status
As of October 2026, Cisco's Catalyst 9300 Series end-of-life notice listing does not include a hardware end-of-sale notice for the C9300L-48T-4G; the listed notices cover IOS XE releases, licences and accessories.
Warranty
Sold by SourceIT as a Singapore unit. Cisco states that Catalyst 9300 Series switches come with an Enhanced Limited Lifetime hardware Warranty (E-LLW), including next-business-day delivery of replacement hardware where available and 90 days of 8x5 Cisco TAC support, in its ordering guide. Keep your SourceIT invoice as proof of purchase for warranty claims.
