The TK705STi is lit by a 4LED engine rated at 20,000 hours in Normal mode and 30,000 hours in ECO mode, so there is no consumable lamp module to budget for and no mid-life brightness cliff. Throw distance and screen size
The TK705STi has a fixed 0.8 throw ratio, so screen width equals throw distance divided by 0.8. Working from that published figure: a 100-inch 16:9 screen is 2.21 metres wide and needs about 1.8 metres of throw distance; a 120-inch screen is 2.66 metres wide and needs about 2.1 metres; an 80-inch screen is 1.77 metres wide and needs about 1.4 metres. Projection offset is 100% full height, so the bottom edge of the image sits level with the centre of the lens when the projector is placed upright on a table or console.
Mounting and alignment
The projector can be table-mounted or ceiling-mounted (inverted). Because the lens is fixed with no optical zoom, screen size is set by where the unit sits, so measure the throw distance before fixing a ceiling bracket. 2D keystone gives auto vertical correction of +/-30 degrees and auto horizontal correction of +/-20 degrees, and the auto focus and auto screen fit routines square the image to the screen after the projector is moved.
