The ATEN UC232AF turns a USB Type-A port into a DB-9 male RS-232 serial port, so modern notebooks and PCs can talk to network switch consoles, PLCs, POS equipment, modems, instruments and other serial devices.
FTDI Chipset for Wide Compatibility
An FTDI chip gives enhanced device compatibility, with data rates up to 921.6 Kbps, anti-EMI design for signal stability and COM port retention so the same COM number is kept when you reconnect.
1.2 m Cable, Bus-Powered
The 120 cm cable reaches equipment on a bench or in a rack, and the adapter is powered from USB with a power LED, so there is nothing else to plug in.
