Four Serial Ports from One USB Port
The UC2324 gives a modern PC or laptop four full RS-232 serial ports through a single USB connection. Use it to talk to network switch consoles, PLCs, POS equipment, barcode scanners, lab instruments and other serial devices without hunting for a machine with legacy COM ports.
Full RS-232 Signal Set
Each DB-9 male port carries the full RS-232 signal set (TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, RI, GND) with a 16-byte hardware FIFO, configurable data bits (5-8) and stop bits (1, 1.5, 2), for reliable communication with older equipment.
Bus Powered, With Optional Adapter
The hub runs from USB bus power, with a DC jack for an optional external adapter where the host port cannot supply enough current. It is hot-swappable and plug-and-play once the driver is installed.
Built for the Bench and the Rack Room
A compact metal housing and built-in 16 kV ESD protection make the UC2324 a sturdy companion for field engineers, labs and equipment rooms.

Does it need an external power supply?
Normally no. The UC2324 is USB bus powered. A DC jack is provided for an optional external adapter if the host USB port cannot supply enough power.
What serial connectors does it have?
Four DB-9 male RS-232 ports carrying the full signal set, including RTS/CTS and DTR/DSR handshaking lines.
Do I need a driver?
Yes. A driver is supplied on the installation disk; ATEN lists Windows and Linux support.
Can I use it to configure network switches?
Yes. It works with RS-232 DB-9 console ports. For RJ-45 console ports you will also need a suitable RJ-45 to DB-9 console cable.
