The ASUSTOR LOCKERSTOR 4 Gen3 (AS6804T) is a 4-bay tower NAS in ASUSTOR's Ryzen-based Lockerstor Gen3 series, which ASUSTOR describes as its fastest NAS line. It combines an AMD Ryzen Embedded V3C14 processor, ECC DDR5 memory, four PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe slots, dual 10GbE and USB4 for businesses, creative teams and power users who need high-throughput shared storage.
AMD Ryzen Embedded with ECC DDR5
A quad-core AMD Ryzen Embedded V3C14 (2.3 GHz, burst to 3.8 GHz) is paired with 16 GB of ECC DDR5-4800 memory, expandable to 64 GB across two SO-DIMM slots.
Dual 10GbE, dual 5GbE and USB4
Two 10GbE and two 5GbE ports support SMB Multichannel, and two USB4 ports run at up to 40 Gbps per port (USB4 host-to-host connection is not supported). ASUSTOR lab figures for SMB Multichannel (RAID 5, 10GbE x2): 1675 MB/s read and 791 MB/s write; results may vary.
4 drive bays plus 4 PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots
4 SATA bays take 3.5"/2.5" HDDs or 2.5" SSDs, and four M.2 2280 NVMe slots (PCIe 4.0) can be used for SSD storage or caching; a PCIe slot accepts an optional 10GbE network card.

How many drives does the AS6804T hold?
It has 4 SATA bays for 3.5" or 2.5" HDDs and 2.5" SSDs, plus four M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots (PCIe 4.0). Drives are not included.
Can I upgrade the memory?
