12 M.2 NVMe slots with PCIe 4.0

Ryzen Embedded with ECC DDR5
A quad-core AMD Ryzen Embedded V3C14 (up to 3.8 GHz) supports ECC DDR5 memory up to 64 GB. ASUSTOR lab figures for SMB Multichannel (RAID 5, dual 10GbE): 2159 MB/s read and 1095 MB/s write; results may vary.
Dual 10GbE and USB4
Two 10GbE ports and two USB4 ports (up to 40 Gbps per port) provide fast connectivity; hard drives can be added through an AS5004U expansion unit on the USB ports.

What drives does it take?
Only M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs, in 12 slots. It has no 2.5"/3.5" bays; hard drives can be added via ASUSTOR USB expansion units. Drives are not included.
Can I upgrade the memory?
It ships with 16 GB ECC DDR5-4800 (1 x 16 GB) in one of two SO-DIMM slots and supports up to 64 GB. ECC is supported but is disabled if non-ECC memory is installed or mixed.
