Please note: this is the ROG NUC 15, the previous-generation chassis - not the ROG NUC 16. It is a genuinely different machine, not a lower trim of the same one: a different processor generation, different wireless and Ethernet controllers, different audio codec, different dimensions and a different power adapter. We list it separately and spell out the differences below rather than blurring the two, because the model numbers look almost identical on a purchase order.
What it is: a 3-litre mini PC with a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB of graphics memory, 32GB of DDR5-6400 and a 1TB NVMe SSD, driving up to five 4K displays. 282.4 × 187.7 × 56.5 mm, 3.12 kg, Windows 11 Home, 3-year onsite local warranty through SourceIT. At its price it is the most capable five-display machine in this catalogue.
Where it sits against the ROG NUC 16
The NUC 15 uses Intel's Core Ultra 9 275HX (Q1'25) rather than the NUC 16's 290HX Plus (Q1'26). Both are 24-core, 24-thread parts with 36MB of Smart Cache, 55W base power and 160W maximum turbo power on TSMC N3B; the 275HX tops out at 5.4 GHz against the 290HX Plus's 5.5 GHz. In practice the processors are close. The more meaningful differences are elsewhere: networking silicon, adapter size, graphics memory and the memory ceiling.
Intel networking rather than Killer and Realtek
The NUC 15 pairs Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE200 with an Intel 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet controller. The NUC 16 uses Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750x and a Realtek RTL8125D. For most buyers this is immaterial, but if your organisation standardises drivers or images across a fleet, an all-Intel network stack is often the easier one to support - and some enterprise imaging and PXE environments handle Intel NICs more predictably than Realtek. Worth knowing which way your IT team leans before choosing between the two generations.
8GB of graphics memory - know this before you buy
The RTX 5070 Laptop GPU here carries 8GB. NVIDIA ships this GPU in both 8GB and 12GB versions, and the distributor build sheet confirms this unit is the 8GB variant. For 1080p and 1440p gaming, CAD, video review and multi-display work that is comfortable. For 4K with ray tracing and high texture settings, or local AI models above roughly 8GB, it is the constraint - and graphics memory cannot be upgraded later. If your workload needs more frame buffer, the ROG NUC 16 with RTX 5070 Ti (12GB) or RTX 5080 (16GB) is the better fit.
A 330W adapter, and three fans with a unified vapour chamber
The NUC 15 ships with a 330W (19.5VDC, 16.9A) adapter - between the NUC 16's 280W and 380W units. Cooling is three fans over a unified vapour chamber, with a CPU fan rated to 135W of dissipation and a separate SSD heatsink. The chassis is MIL-STD-810H validated, has a Kensington lock slot, and carries ASUS's "slash edge" RGB lighting. Memory and M.2 storage are behind tool-less quick-access panels.
Five 4K displays
Two HDMI 2.1 FRL, two DisplayPort 2.1 and one Thunderbolt 4 give up to five simultaneous 4K displays. Combined with the 3-litre footprint, this is what makes the NUC 15 a strong control-room, trading-desk, signage and digital-wall controller - the output count is the same as machines costing considerably more.

The model numbers differ by one digit and the machines look similar, but they are different products. If a purchase order says "ROG NUC", confirm which generation is intended.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with a power cable?
No. The box has the 330 W AC adapter, but not the mains cord that plugs the adapter into the wall. Add an ASUS AC18C13UK (UK 3-pin to C13) or equivalent - tell SourceIT and we will include one with the order.
Is this the same as the ROG NUC 16?
No. It is the previous generation - a different processor, different Wi-Fi and Ethernet controllers, different audio codec, different dimensions and a different power adapter. The comparison table above sets out every difference we could establish.
Is the older generation a bad buy?
Not at all, and at this price it is arguably the best value in the catalogue. The processors are close - 5.4 GHz against 5.5 GHz, same core count and cache - and the NUC 15's all-Intel network stack is easier to standardise for some IT teams. The five-display capability is identical. The two caveats are the 8 GB frame buffer and the run-out availability.
How much graphics memory does the RTX 5070 have?
8 GB, confirmed on the distributor build sheet. NVIDIA also ships a 12 GB version of this GPU in other machines, so do not assume the larger figure from a generic spec sheet.
Is this a Copilot+ PC?
No. The 275HX NPU is 13 peak TOPS against Microsoft's 40 TOPS requirement. The AI capability is in the RTX 5070.
How many monitors can it drive?
Up to five 4K displays, across Thunderbolt 4, two DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 FRL outputs.
Can I upgrade the memory and storage?
Both sit behind tool-less quick-access panels. Memory ships as 2 × 16 GB with both slots full, so going beyond 32 GB means replacing modules; ASUS gives the ceiling as 96 GB. Storage is expandable to 4 TB.
